16 people, food came out in drips and drabs, cold for some. When one half finished food the rest got theirs, and waitress polite in beginning rude at end. Used to go at lest every 6-8 weeks. Won’t be returning very soon.

Best Indonesian food in Perth The only Indonesian restaurant (to my knowledge) to prepare food in a modern contemporary style. The rendang and the lamb shanks absolutely enak N&A

we had ordered a rijstafel but the portions were extremely small and not very exciting - only 4 dishes - 2 tiny chicken thighs, 3 tiny salted fish, 5 blocks of fried tofu and some beans in peanut sauce, then dessert with a few banana fritters and 1 piece of cake - with a pan of steamed rice and vegetables (the only item that was adequate). On the whole, not very good and extremely expensive. We will not go there again.

The waitress was friendly and provided fantastic service. The entrees were tasty but the mains were disappointing. The area we sat in was near the front entrance and it was freezing. We would go back due to the location and thr friendly waitress however we would only order appetizers.

I have been to Monggo a few times and have always enjoyed my meal, but last night our dishes came out one at a time, a dish was forgotten, we returned a few dishes as they were lukewarm.. We had to ask a couple times for our sharing plates while our food sat in the middle of the table for 10 minutes. The dishes didn't come with serving spoons which we then had to take from the empty table next to us. I felt very sorry for the one waitress who was trying to serve the whole restaurant. I'm sorry for this negative review, but we were all very disappointed.

The Mercon was different to what's being described on the menu, very disappointed, it tastes like sweet and sour chicken balls. And the Kari Ayam sauce was too sweet, I don't like sweet curries, it taste like a dessert to me. The roti paratha was a flop too. I don't think it's good value for money. The glass window and main entrance glass door need a good wipe, they are full of greasy finger prints and blocking our view and we couldn't look through the prints.

Monggos used to be our favourite restaurant. Now the 1 waitress is incapable of maintaining everyone's orders and clearing up. Every table is littered with dishes, and clientele need to serve their own menus etc. Employing an extra waitress would probably do wonders for repeat customers.

The food was delicious, however it appeared the place was short staff for a busy night and affected the service and time to serve to get orders or to get food out.

Food and service pretty good, a bit on the pricey side for the size of the serves. It was very quiet the evening we were there and main meals were not all served at the same time.

Unfortunately, we seem to have caught them on a tough day (Christmas Eve): I believe they were understaffed (long waiting times for drinks and entrees) and that the chef may not have been at his best (Jakarta nasi goreng was burnt and the egg white on the tahu talor was still raw and runny). On the up side, the staff remained polite and the (deconstructed) lumpia basah bogor was a treat.

I love going to Monggo and have been a number of times. It is my go to place for inviting others for a delicious, all time favourite for many of friends and family. My favourite is the gado-gado with tofu and tempe, with sambal balado for a bit of spiciness. My partner loves the ayam bakar madu (chicken wings) and the satay ayam (satay chicken sticks). Fried rice, mee goreng, bihun goreng, lumpia all also a treat. A delicious place!

Absolutely terrible. We waiting an hour and a half for our entree’s to be served. When they were finally served they were cold. We didn’t hang around for our mains. The restaurant was full of hungry upset diners. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to hire more staff

We have been to Monggo's many times on a Saturday night. Last night we were disappointed with the service. The one girl was run off her feet. We had to help ourselves to wine glasses and water glasses from another table. Then when our duck came out it was not very hot. Think the manager needs to employ another staff member.

Great food Reasonable prices The poor waiter was alone, he had to take orders, clean tables , serve and man the cash register. While it was hard going he never got flustered and always smiled. Well done !!!
