Let’s face it, any time of the day is taco time, and where better to indulge in these delights than at the Mexican specialists, Montezuma’s. With several locations dotted all over the country, the consistency and flavour of this family of restaurants is second to none. At their Albany Creek space, you’ll be blown away by the colour, vibrancy and authenticity of even the smallest of details and it’s the perfect spot for lunch and dinner for all your amigos. Pair your tacos with an ice cold cerveza or margarita and you’ll be thinking, El Cielo! You’ll find this Brisbane eatery on Ferguson Street, but be warned, their comida is seriously good so it’s best to book ahead of time to avoid missing out. Hasta Luego!
With so many delicious options on the menu at Montezuma’s in Albany Creek, it can be quite difficult to choose. But one thing is for sure, no matter your selection, this Mexican spot in Brisbane is sure to delight your tastebuds. We recommend beginning with the entradas and perhaps going for a fully-loaded nachos brimming with cheese, beans and ranchero sauce with your choice of meat, seafood or vegetarian additions, or the quesadilla, an open tortilla covered with cheese, spicy Mexican chorizo, lettuce and ranchero sauce.
For the main event, Montezuma’s has got you covered with their sanan andres of garlic prawns in ranchero sauce, jalapenos and capscicum and cheese, baked in the oven on a bed of rice, or their selection of mouthwatering enchiladas or burritos that will leave you on Montezuma’s cloud nine. You’ll find this Albany Creek gem along Ferguson Street, not far from the Brisbane CBD. Bookings are essential.
Fast service and great variety. Food was well presented and tasted great. Birthday dinner for self and friends and we were well looked after. Highly recommend
The service was great , the food was perfect and big portions well worth the cost. kid friendly and the kids love the food. Would happily return again.
Was so good a little small but the food and people were amazing . Had such a good night with the wife . Definitely recommend it.
The table was ready when we arrived, including the high-chair that I requested, which was appreciated. The area was clean and very presentable. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us to make our choices. They were attentive when we stated our choices and the correct meals were prepared and served. The food and beverages were well presented and very much enjoyed. We enjoy going there for a special meal and will certainly return in the future.
Honest feedback - vegan menu is awesome. The food was really really good. The food service was quite fast too which was nice. We got a booth to sit in - maybe make the lighting less intense because I felt like I was on a showroom floor instead of a restaurant. Bad stuff: we waited quite a while to be served at the counter when we arrived. We were seated and were given glasses but no water. No one came to take our drink order straight up - we had to flag someone down. We ordered and paid for coronas but were given Sol Beer. Overall pretty good but not as good as the old Kedron restaurant.
I came in for the vegan menu to show my support & help create the demand that's out there. Your staff can't handle it & aren't given what they need to either. You had only one waiter working & he was EXCELLENT. I saw 2 female staff floating around but whatever they were doing it wasn't helping your poor swamped waiter. It took me 10 mins to get the attention of someone to get a vegan menu. It then took another 50 mins in your half full restaurant to get our food. I ordered the vegan burrito & it had no olives, no sour cream, a skerrick of lettuce (not the promised salad) & for some reason a side of beans...with a bean burrito? Too much & not on the menu. The meat eaters didn't get their promised salads either. We then tried to order coffee & I ordered the Oreo & coffee. The waiter came out 5 mins later with the menu & said he had literally nothing on that vegan dessert menu except "maybe Churros", he didn't have the liquer coffee & could only offer me black coffee. We cancelled the order & went to a cafe. When we were paying I had been charged for a side of sour cream because I had asked for my sour cream that was meant to come on the burrito - I didn't go all the way to your restaurant to have Mexican without the promised trimmings. The waiter was wonderful about taking that off the bill though. Overall it was a BS experience & ive let as many vegans as I can know not to bother with your establishment. We always get charged more for vegan food & it's not fair when that's what we end up with so I'm not helping to create a demand for haphazard slop. You have the right idea you just haven't got the resources to carry it out - the people I went with aren't ever coming back either, they were appalled with the service. All of this is the same feedback I've heard from another couple who will also never return so you really need to do something.
The new management at Montezumas are doing a great job. The décor is very engaging and the staff couldn't be more helpful. The variety and quality of the food is excellent. One small point is that the rice is cooked more like Asian rice rather than the Authentic Mexican rice which I prefer.
We decided to visit due to the new Vegan menu. We were not disappointed. Food was really nice and full of flavor. The poor guy on duty front of house was on his own and a bit overwhelmed so perhaps they need to look at staffing a bit better but cannot complain about his handling of some other rude customers.
The food and the staff were fantastic and friendly. Only one point dampened my evening and that was the sun hitting me right in the face for about 30mins as we were deciding what we wanted and waiting for our meal. I needed to wear my glasses inside in order to converse with my friends.
Nice atmosphere and bright decor. Adult mains were really yummy. Kids mains were boring. Would have been nice to have more on the Kids Taco, maybe some corn or fresh tomato, some salsa. More then 1 taco. Sangria was nice but there was no fresh fruit in it. I really enjoyed the dips and the Corn chips were delicious.
