asked for a booth when booking 2 days earlier, on arrival told no booths available..and watched as 3 remained unfilled the whole time we were thre...drinks too ages, food was ok..salad had no dressing..food has gone downhill as has the service and price has skyrocketed....used to go here every week for 3 years..but now.i think we are done going here.
Very friendly & welcoming. Great food & cocktails thank you
ok, hot and fresh..but sizes of servings have shrunk
good food and sangria is great as always..but not as good as it was
Excellent service, great staff, always a pleasant experience and the staff is always friendly.
While the food was lovely and well priced, our food took a very long time even the childrens meals. The server apologised and it was clear that the Uber eats orders were being prioritised over our meals.
We totally enjoyed the food & the staff was excellent
Birthday celebration with the family. Lovely meals . Good service although drinks were a bit slow in an almost empty restaurant. Love Montezuma’s AC
Arrived at 4.50 for a 5pm booking. The girl who was preparing the food come out to tell us they were still closed and she was hoping the other staff would be there soon as no prep had been done. We just left.
Great waitress but that’s about it just hate the hard seats, not a lot of staff but not a lot of guests either. Food just ok spent the afternoon on the toilet as did my partner so not that impressive at all
Great atmosphere, friendly waitress awesome food. We’ll be back again.
Service was exceptional. Couldn't fault them. My partner's favourite meal is No 27
Our dinner on Saturday 8th November we waited for almost an hour for our meal and then we were told that the kitchen wasn’t told about our entrees so the entrees came out with our main meal which is not what it was supposed to be. We ordered our entrees to have as an entree and not to have it with our main meal which meant we couldn’t enjoy our entree and main meals separately! The conrecardo chips were burnt hardly any cheese on the corns chips! The drink we ordered frozen strawberry margarita was un drinkable and couldn’t drink it was not nice at all! We also wanted to order a conqueso fundito and we’re told that we couldn’t order as you didn’t have all the ingredients to make it which seems crazy given that this is a standard meal on the menu. It was a very disappointing night with regards to the Meals and service!
Our visit to Montezuma’s was great. Very friendly service & food was very good.
Walked in and there was no music. Service was pretty terrible, got pointed at our table and that it. Ended up leaving before even ordering.
We’ll probably not be going back. It took 40 minutes to be served drinks. My main meal was very dry and overpriced.
Food was ok- quite expensive for what it is- Sangria was way too sweet
Service was good staff knowledgeable and friendly food was great
The staff were very helpful in ordering with special dietary requirements. The food was filling and good size served.
Such a long wait for that type of food. Won’t be rushing back.
Casual & friendly, great service. Tasty food! Will go again
Haven’t been to Montezuma for a few years, to be honest, I thought there wasn’t as much flavour as I remembered.. but the service was impeccable.. the two young boys who served us were friendly, efficient and keen
The meals were below average unfortunately, and the cocktail of the month was not drinkable. I did inform the staff at the register however, nothing more than a kind thank you and apology was given.
Table was sticky. Didn’t have the wine that was in the list. Didn’t have the soft drink that was on the list. Food was Luke warm. Didn’t do coffee. Maybe a pass for me if suggested again
Food was disgusting. Such bad quality the salad was old the corn chips burnt. The male waiter argued with me. I will never return worst experience in a restaurant. I was warned not to go to this restaurant now I know why.
There was no red wine available at all , the restaurant was busy but not packed and took ages to get our wine my husband gave up and ordered water. The food was very bland
Staff were very friendly and their service was prompt. My meal had come through as a main whilst the other diners had food that came out as an entree. The staff apologised for this mix up and offered me a free entree whilst my main meal was still being prepared. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness. The food was absolutely delicious. Montezumas at Albany Creek never disappoints.
I grew up on the Gold Coast and would regularly go to Montezuma's at Labrador with my family and for birthdays. I have continued this tradition but now at Albany creek. The food is always great but the wait times for food on a week night was much longer then we expected. The kids were starving by the time the food come out.
Good food, good service. Easy to book and to order
Food wasn’t awful, but VERY overpriced - and the service was horrible.
Staff were lovely and friendly, plates were hot and food was warm at best. The best way to describe their beans were some kind of bland slop with consistency of mash potatoes. Burnt Spanish rice was hard to go down. And the churros were over cooked on the outside and raw dough in the middle. Would not 3/10. Saving grace was the lovely girl who was short staffed behind the bar who makes a great tequila sunrise
Awesome cuisine enjoyed by all of us and great atmosphere
Amazing food fantastic drinks can't wait to come back service was excellent aswell
Changes noted - Arizona not on menu. Salad very poor - no dressing, no apple slices. Three people left their salads.
Food was fresh and yummy, sangria was awesome, and staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a great, local family dinner venue.
Food still great however portion sizes are smaller and needed more dressing on salad.
The waiting time was over 45 minutes to receive the order, and the food lacked flavour.
Always a good size meal. Menu selection has shrunk but still enough choices
My partner always orders the No 27. We noticed this time that the enchiladas were noticeably smaller then our last visit. That was a bit disappointing for him. Food is delicious as always though.
Really friendly staff, quick service, good food, huge meals, and fair prices. Super happy we came :)
Been dining at Montezumas since they first opened in Byron Bay over 50 years and they have maintained a very high quality food and service. And last night was no exception
Food and service were excellent, stilght confusion when the dessert order wasn't given to the kitchen but the staff were very apologetic and made appropriate reparations
Not impressed with the food Plus very noisy table next to me
Love the Mexican food here. Always tasty and very filling.
Have been going here for years, but doubt we will ever go back, menu is totally different and bloody expensive, meat on the nachos was all burnt and dry, taquitos were similar.
Not like it used to be- food was only ok- Sangria was horrible- not sure what they have done to that recipe! Way too expensive for Mexican food- would rather a good chinese or Thai meal for the price we paid- used to come here every week..wont be back for quite a while im afraid.
Really good food. Good variety of options to choose from. Friendly and helpful service.
Very polite and pleasant staff, quick service and delicious food.
Our first visit at this location. It was very pleasant, lovely staff, very clean and the food was very fresh. Much better than other locations, definitely will go again.
I came early at 5pm so it was nice. Food was great and service was friendly, quick and made sure I was looked after. Thank you very much.
