Disappointing considering all meals were brought out at different times - my son’s nachos arrived after everyone else had finished. My beef fajita was exceptionally dry and chewy.

No staff, couldn’t get served, food was average by their usual high standards, tables dirty. So average. In a positive the gentleman running the bar saved the night. Ended up having to serve us, and was the only happy face we had all night.

I was disappointed with our meal and service. Service was slow and the food was not enjoyable. I wanted a beef fajita. They only had dry chicken. The food wasn’t fresh and tasty. I won’t be back.

Seated quickly with food and drinks menu but no follow up. Left waiting for water and order to be taken. Ended up ordering through table QR code. Had to ask for water! Order still had to be amended due to food availability. Located at the beach but no prawns ????:( No frozen margaritas :( Entree plate taken before finished entree :( Fish tacos were tasteless McCains fish pieces :( Quality has definitely gone down hill. And confronting “for lease” sign in window indicates not around much longer? Shame this is last impression of once fantastic restaurant.

Isi served us and was absolutely amazing! And Juan the chef made a special quesadilla for me, exactly as I asked, which was one of the best I’ve ever had! Fantastic service from everyone, we’ll definitely be back! Thanks Montezuma Maloolaba!

Such a shame to see an establishment become a shadow of its former self. Been coming here for about 20 years and it was clear that it had seen a decline in quality and service over the recent years but the state of the place now is an embarrassment. The menu has been gutted, there is no attention to the ambiance of the restaurant, the staff are aloof at best and the food is truly below average.

Looks like new owners. Food is not as good and we were the first people in the restaurant and got put by a window that was covered by a coreflute. We did have a booking. Used to love Motezumas Mooloolaba but after this experience won’t go back.

My dinner (San Francisco) was great but my wife’s Montezuma’s Delight was not. Whilst initially tasty, it turned out to be sitting in a pool of fluid. It got soggy and was not good. Been going to M for 30 years - worst dish ever in that time

One of the most disappointing restaurant visits I’ve had in a long time. Poor quality food, small servings, but with a huge price tag. Don’t bother.

I expected it to be noisy as it was school holidays so that was fine. I ordered a margarita mocktail that seemed to be just lemon and lime syrup with salt around the rim, and so sickly sweet I couldn't drink it. A mocktail is supposed to resemble the cocktail it's named after. Either use non alcoholic tequila or advertise them as cordials! We ordered Chimichangas and the staff member advised us the sauce used was hot so we asked for it to be a mild sauce. There was no sauce at all and just tasted like shredded beef and very bland. The only redeeming feature of the night was the very friendly staff.

The venue has really gone down hill compared to other Montezumas . No music , poor atmosphere, very basic fit out , just not a good vibe but lucky the food is still good

Very disappointing. Drinks were very expensive, food portions were small, lacked flavour and were extremely salty. Also very overpriced. Restaurant lacked atmosphere, was very loud & stuffy as the fans were broken. We come to this restaurant a lot but this will be our last. It’s only saving grace were the staff who were friendly and helpful.

The restaurant was grubby. The starters tasted good but our mains were terrible. They shut the kitchen early and turned the lights off before we could order dessert. Service could have been more attentive, I got an awful Sangria and would have liked to send it back for another drink but the barman left early. Was a bad dining experience for the money.

Terrible food , premises dirty , side plates were greasy . Corn ribs were frozen corn , coke was flat . Overall it was terrible experience. The wait staff were lovely and friendly but that was the only positive of this restaurant. This place needs a serious overhaul.

The restaurant staff were on point tonight. Really friendly and the food was really tasty. The only negative was my lemon lime bitters definitely didn't taste right but apart from that it was great.

Pretty disappointing, the place is run down, old and smelly. We have visited numerous Montezuma's over the last few years and this would have to be the worst. The waitress was great, the sangria tasted like sour juice with no alcohol. Apparently if l need to complain it’s head office that makes up the way they are served! The food wasn’t too bad but they have taken most dishes off the menu these days so not many choices. The only good things were the view and clean toilets! Save your money.

Disgusting ! The worst Mexican I have ever tasted we are not food snobs or wealthy people but it was nothing short of dog food !

Have been coming here for the past 10 years while on holidays and definitely will not come back. The menu is not a Montezumas menu anymore, guacamole dip was half whole not mashed and no seasoning and corn chips straight out of the packet not warm. Both chicken burritto bowl and Arizona were well below par. Service was excellent by the young man with the ponytail. Definitely won't be back when we come on holidays.

The restaurant is old and run down, the table was sticky. We were seated and told to order using the QR code, however halfway through a server came over and was confused why we were ordering online as he was our waiter and will take our order. The food was disappointing, everything was covered in oily burnt cheese, the rice was plain and dry, my veggies in the Montezuma Delight were white and dry particularly the carrots. Cost us $250 for 2A 3C with a main each, 2 entrees and a drink each.

Overall a very disappointing Easter Saturday dining experience! Food and service below average and then got double charged for the public holiday loading at 30% of the bill. Ridiculous amount and restaurant made outrageous comment that they didn’t know this was happening 😫work it out people. Definitely wouldn’t recommend !!

The food was great. Super yum. The drinks were average. The website says they still do frozen margaritas, however they don’t. We also had a waitress who was clearly not happy to be working that shift… her body language and facial expressions along with her demeanour said it all.

No warm welcome and food was average at best. No friendly staff to check on us throughout the dinner either and no offer of dessert.

Our waiter who had earing was great. The blonde chick was cranky. Yeah for $10 margaritas and $5 tacos. I'll be back on Sundays.

Tables need a proper clean and not just a wipe down. They are super sticky Otherwise, great as always
