Always the best night. Lots of fun and great food
Food was good our family enjoyed the time that we spent there staff were great service excellent
our family reunion was great fun, excellent atmosphere and entertainment.
Good location with Good Food. We really had great fun!
Very busy day (Fathers Day). We were seated up the stairs and away from the action so whilst it was quieter, we felt we missed out on the atmosphere of the band (one of the reasons we went). Adult food arrived and it was at least 10 min (and one request) later that the children's food arrived. Food was delicious and well presented. We expected the relatively expensive prices but didn't expect the Sunday surcharge nor the credit card surcharge. Lovely that there was a face painter for the children but being seated right out of the action, the kids couldn't wait in line by themselves so a parent waited with them, leaving the other parent at the table - not really the family experience we'd been seeking. The face painter, while a lovely inclusion, took forever (we waited once but had to leave the queue as our food arrived) and then waited again for nearly forty minutes. Perhaps a number system should be in place or on a day like this, more than one person doing the activity. We were told twice that our table was required for other people at a specific time but we waited at least 15 min for the bill and requested it three times. We have loved the Bierhuis in the past but it is a relatively expensive experience (we each had one course and the kids ate kids' meals, hubby had two large beers, I had one beer, kids drank one lemonade each - the bill was just under $200) and have been disappointed the last few times we've come. Kids used to eat free on a Sunday but this is no longer the case AND now they charge a Sunday surcharge! Add this to the credit card surcharge and we were literally unable to leave a tip. Such a massive place which was well-populated all day; surely they don't need to add these surcharges. Based on this experience, it is unlikely we'll be back for a long time.
Service was below average. Didn’t seem to be any coordination with wait staff. We were seated and nobody took our drinks order for 35 minutes. Follow up was non-existent so didn’t bother conveying some of our meal was missing. Second round of drinks equally difficult to order. There were lots of staff around but would say ‘sorry, let me get you a waiter’ if we asked for something and the ‘waiter’ never came. Ambience was shit. We were outside in the covered area and were getting music via the speakers but when the live entertainment was on inside the music continued which meant you just got a mess of annoying sound as a backdrop as you couldn’t hear either clearly. Food was good, as was the beer but the rest was very average.
Love d food, love d beers but where’s d beer menu with girls picture on it? Hard to remember which one is my fav beer now. Had a great time with friends. The waitresses are slow as we waited for a while to get order. But the food is to die for. Love it
You can't turn down the share platter! I do have to say that there appears to be less sauerkraut now which is slightly disappointing but overall the meal was excellent as was the beer. This place never fails to impress. Do book for dinner though or you won't get in.
We were there on a Sunday for a 6.30pm dinner. Food was very good & we did not have to wait long for the food to arrive at our table. The staff were very friendly & the entertainment provided made the atmosphere feel warm & friendly.
Always a great experience. Food was very good and the "happy hour" for drinks was excellent. Our waiter for the night was very helpful and on the ball from the time we sat down to the time we left. We will be back.
