Okami - Ballarat

We ordered lots, the staff were attentive and everyone enjoyed the food. The all-you-can-eat option is great value for all of the delicious Japanese food on offer.

My second time at Okami Ballarat. Service was mostly good, two of the staff found it a little hard to understand orders and a couple of the items we ordered didnt arrive. Food was great, though the tempura was a little oily, perhaps the cooking tempature needs to be slightly increased. All round still a nice place to enjoy some Japanese. Always worth a visit :)

Okami Ballarat is always good in every way (food is brilliant, customer service is excellent, the price is acceptable). We always enjoy our time every time visiting Okami.

The table we sat on was unbalanced and when the waiter brought water to the table it spilt over my father in-law. This happened twice through the night and then later a different waitress brought miso soup to the table and spilt this over another guest. We had to call the wait staff over several times to get served and to take plates away. The food was okay but the flavours were very different from a true authentic Japanese experience- the tonkotsu sauce was quite salty, the takoyaki had very little octopus in it and was quite overcooked on the outside and the spicy miso salmon was more a sauce than miso, as a few examples. For value, the price was quite reasonable overall and my Chinese guests seemed to be very happy with the food despite this being, in my view, a very western style Japanese experience.

Great food and quick service. Easy to feed and fill my late teen boys. If you enjoy Japanese food you won’t be disappointed. We are return customers.

This restaurant has great service and beautiful fresh food. We had the All You Can Eat buffet and it was amazing! I highly recommend Okami.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Okami. The staff were excellent and friendly and the food was amazing. We could not fault any of the dishes and our whole table of 12 were impressed and enjoyed the experience. The food was freshly cooked and we ate as much as we wanted, just asking for more dishes as we went. It was an excellent night and we'll be back. (the only negative was that the restaurant is quite noisy but it was very full as well so to be expected I guess). Thankyou Okami, it was great!

Service was poor..Take them 1 hr to get food at our table for 6 people. Took the waiters 3 goes before our order was correct. Some of selected items from the menu did not make it to our table

The food and service was very good. The restaurant was very busy and we still received fast service. The food was amazing and fantastic value for money. I will definitely be back.

Food was delicious and varied. We would certainly return and would recommend to others. A shame however that they have such an issue with splitting bills, can be quite inconvenient.

The food tastes good as always, the staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant's atmosphere is also very good. I really love the food specially the sushi and the chicken karaage. Also the deserts are good.

Easy place to like. Great for kids, plenty of food and quick service. Good for a cheap, cheerful and fun family dinner with options for everyone.

The food was delicious. People working there were friendly, however they did kept forgetting dishes we ordered (eg one of the desserts never made it to our table)

Make sure you demand attention to get served for food when you want it, otherwise you’ll sit there all night without service and not get what you wanted.

We had the all you can eat so I was a bit worried but the service was fast and the food was done very well. The all you can eat was great fun for our family of six, everyone got to try many different dishes. Will go back for sure.

Every meal was cooked fresh...absolutely beautiful. Would recommend to anyone who would like this experience . There was 8 of us. Not one disdappointed. Will definatley comming back

We were really pleased with the prices, the quality of the food and the staff were all very friendly. They made us feel very welcome! We really enjoyed the Miso Beef and the potato croquettes.
