Okami - Bendigo

It is very noisy in there. We were over near the windows which attracted a lot of flies but the meal is wonderful and the staff are very lovely. A great place to dine out

Service started good then went downhill fast. Not bringing out food together and forgot some all together we had to ask again and there was only 2 of us. Ordering was very difficult nobody checked if we wanted to order more as portions were very small. Once ordered still couldn't get food together. And when barely finishing food server asked if we are ready for last order very rude. I hadn't been in a few months and was definitely a bad experience compared to previous visit it was very under staffed oly 2 people taking orders for the whole restaurant. I can see why next Service seemed non existent definitely would not recommend dinning there to friends and family.

Celebrating a birthday with the family. We all had a wonderful dinner, food was amazing.

The vegan food took ages to come out everyone else had finished their food before I had gotten mine. The staff only asked if we wanted to order twice so we couldn’t order as much as we wanted before running out of time. Staff were rude.

Didn't get all the dishes we ordered and from mid meal to end was very slow...ended up leaving as waited forever for an icecream only to come when we were paying to leave...sadly won't be back

Bit disappointed last night as it wasn’t really busy One staff member was exceptional and we wished we just had her serving us We ordered 3 drinks of which 2 of them arrived. We asked 4 times to different staff members for the 3rd drink and it took 20 minutes more for the drink to arrive We had to keep asking if different dishes were coming as they came out very spasmodically Hopefully this was a one off Will go back as we enjoy it

We love coming to Okami in Bendigo We have been with different friends a few times and always enjoyed it

First time dining there. Most dishes were delicious. Service was fairly good for the most part however they did forget a couple of our dishes.

Disappointing to say the least. This is only the second time I've eaten here, and it will be the last. The first time we ate here the service was OK. The food came fast, hot, well cooked and tasty. Hence the decision to eat here again. This time the sevice was slow, dismissive .... no service at all. The food lukewarm, over cooked, poorly cooked, very badly served and presented. I took a friend here for her birthday and ended up feeling embarrassed and disappointed for her. I would not waste my time or money here again.

I had a great experience dining at Okami in Bendigo tonight. I enjoyed the food, the service time was incredible and the staff were very kind.

Unfortunately our experience was not optimal. The staff were very busy and quite rude when we requested a moment longer to decide on food . Our drinks didn’t come despite asking 3 times . The food was ok but some of the dishes lacked presentation and rice came without an accompanying dish. Over all we were dissatisfied/disappointed in the whole experience.

The whole night was really good. It was a bit hard at the start because they were trying to get everyone served but once it got started it was fantastic - the food was excellent with plenty to be had. Highly recommended.

Poor service and well overcharged kids meals and more and more additions cost add ons. Will not be back.

The food was amazing. But it’s not worth the wait for the services and the portion. We get it, it’s a business tactic to keep the income greater than spending. Hence the service was too long for us to order for our next round. Keeping us long enough to feel full without having to try any other menus.

Spectacular food! Great value & excellent range of dishes to choose from. We did have to wait a little long at times to place our orders & the wait staff could be a little friendlier but overall it's a fantastic place to eat.

The sashmi and sushi not look like photos, the sushi is small size and sushi roll turn to be a small roll. Understand it is busy. but it seemed to be not enough people to work. Always wait for long time to take order. Waiter not always look around the customers tables. I need to turn around and waited for the waiters attention. The waiters look like to be hurry, when taking order.

I think they are always under-staffed. The two managers get snappy easily as they are run off their feet. It wasn't as enjoyable as our past experiences. Being rude isn't going to keep customers.

Friendly service. Drinks took a while. Some dishes took a while, however it was very busy. Food is smaller portions than our first visit some time ago (as a couple, so not because of extra people).

The food was delicious. We will definitely eat here again.
