They were extremely busy BUT they still managed to give great service with almost no wait time for the food & beverages. We are very impressed & would not hesitate to recommend them….

We were very disappointed to read that "Okami restaurant is placing 16 venues in to voluntary administration" after Christmas. "Mr Campbell Wilson said the impact of Covid 19 was being blamed for the restaurant's struggles..." News.com.au I believe I read it in the Canberra Times newspaper as well. So I booked for what we thought was going to be the last day of trading. I asked 2 of the waiters is this closing true? they both said they knew nothing about the closures. We were very pleased to hear this. I think something needs to be done about this news articles as I'd hate to see our favourite sushi experience in this area, close down. None the less, as usual Okami was a great dining experience. Thank you

Food was unreal, service was great. Atmosphere was comfortable and restaurant was clean. We enjoyed it.

Everything was excellent except it was a bit cold outside with a draft coming through the plastic awnings.

Prompt friendly service and staff. Delicious food. And excellent place to bring your vegetarian and omnivorous friends and family. Highly recommended

Everything was good. Just the same as it always is.

It was very noisy in the restaurant and hard to tell whether staff had heard our orders. A few times orders were missed or delayed. Rice came 20mins ahead of mains, icecreams 30mins before savoury food. So very patchy service. Food was of good quality

Our group of 13 people enjoyed our Christmas celebration at Okami. There was a good variety of dishes that were served. It was a very enjoyable night.

Frequent diner. Service was friendly not welcoming. Most of the deep fried chicken dishes were cold eg karage, katsu and curried chicken, The restaurant was not overly busy. We did mention to host as a courtesy as we paid our bill $151.80. Not a small amount given current economy and cost of living. Even more important to maintain your quality and service standards given you, like many businesses have put your prices up.

Food was great. Only one person was taking orders though.

The food was very good and the service wasn’t bad. It was busy and we had to wait a fair bit for some of our dishes. I feel that this prevented me from getting my money’s worth. The waiter called last order at 19:35 and we were booked until 20:00. Again the food was great and I would have loved to try more dishes though.

Felt like it was slightly understaffed. Arrived at 6:30 got served at 7:00. Long wait to order more food. Received bill at 8:15 after which we ordered dessert. Asked to leave at 8:28. A lot of the chicken and steak were cut too small and dry and overcooked. Not as enjoyable as previous visits.

Food was great as usual however did find service quite slow this time. As it took quite sometime to place another order and a long time for the food to arrive. Normally we get about 17 dishes in our time but this time only got 10 before our time was up.

We were a later booking, so the restaurant was not busy. Staff were lovely and the food came out at a good rate.

We came for an early dinner (5:50) and the place was relatively empty when we started. Staff were absolutely fabulous - super attentive and all very lovely. Food was great too! I really loved the way they portioned the food so you can try a lot of different things and order more of the things you liked the best. We came with our infant daughter and they were fabulous with her too. Great experience; will come again.

Very crowded and noisy. Short-staffed so our meals were very late arriving [and lukewarm by then]; when we ordered 2 of a meal, they came around 30 minutes apart; and we felt hustled out of there by the wait staff. Not an enjoyable experience - and it was our first. Unlikely to go back.

Okami was value for money. The staff worked hard to ensure the restaurant ran smoothly, and were generally helpful and friendly.

Amazing food, friendly and prompt service as always. Variety of dishes which were served very quickly. Highly recommended to experience Japanese cuisine.

The service was a bit haphazard with mistakes in ordering, did not allow bill splitting which was disappointing

Lovely staff and our little one enjoyed sharing our meal with the provided cutlery for kids, we weren't expecting that so it was greatly appreciated!
