A nice environment and friendly staff, but I expected more from the food. We had some dips and fetta balls which were tasty, but the fattoush salad that I was really looking forward to was absolutely drowned in a balsamic dressing so that everything was limp and super acidic, and the zaatar chicken was quite dry. We might go back for a drink, but wouldn't rush to eat there again.
I always enjoy eating at this restaurant. Food is varied, flavoursome and there is always plenty! The night we went it was very crowded but all staff were prompt and we totally enjoyed the evening.
We had a very enjoyable meal at Old City Kitchen and Bar. Arrived just in time to take advantage of the Happy Hour drinks, the waitstaff were very helpful with their menu suggestions, but most importantly the food was delicious! Everything we choose was fantastic (dips, eggplant, haloumi (made in house and sooo creamy), slow cooked lamb, zucchini flowers, potatoes, old city prawns). Servings were very generous. We will definitely be going back soon.
We were seated in the more bar area for dinner which had incredibly loud patrons and incredibly loud music that was controlled by those patrons. Food was generally good, though some of it was cold on the inside when it was straight from the kitchen and we had to ask for enough pieces for each person when we ordered a banquet for 6 people. The staff, however, were very obliging and personable, always happy to help!
Tasty food. Attentive service. Milk in the coffees was sour. Waiter was very apologetic. Nice decor. Reasonable value for money. Old city platter was plenty for two people. Tasty fried pots crisps were yummy.
