Throwing open its doors along Henderson Road in Alexandria nice and early, seven days a week, Olivas is frequented by commuters making their way to Redfern, Macdonaldtown and Erskineville station looking for a morning feed from banana bread to big veggo breakfasts alongside, yes, great coffee plus some tasty fruit and veg super smoothies. But the tapas is where it’s at for this Sydney restaurant, with seared scallops served on grilled Spanish chorizo with a touch of wasabi, housemade pork and veal meatballs topped with Manchego cheese, Jamon charcuterie, garlic prawns and tortilla among our faves.
