Head west and road the bend in the Brisbane River from the CBD and you reach the inner-city district of Milton. Here, along Park Road there’s a clutch of cafes and restaurants. You’ve got your fair share of French and Italian places (one with a replica of the Eiffel tower casting its shadow across the street, but if it’s a pan-Asian feast you’re looking for you’d do well to book a table and pay a visit to Park Road Kitchen. Here, Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines come together in a riot of traditional and fusion dishes of the kind that Australian restaurants are world-famous for producing. The motto at Park Road Kitchen is ‘eat fresh, live happy’ and the philosophy when your order comes to table is – o at least should be – ‘sharing is caring’, so reserve in advance and bring some friends!
