Being seated outside with no heater wasn't a great dining experience. Dish portion was tiny compare to other cafes in the area and for a lot less in pricing. No wow factor here

Service was good as was the food. I didn’t appreciate a woman sitting next to me with her two dogs roaming around my feet or near my food and sitting next to me and on my hand bag. Other than that everything else was lovely.

We've been coming to Porgies for an occasional lunch for several years now - meeting up with old and now ageing friends. It has continued to be excellent in all ways. Thanks again for great service, food and atmosphere (and NOT too noisy for some old ears!

I ordered Eggs Benedict with bacon and mushrooms. The bacon was disgusting, thick and awful and not like any ordinary bacon I have come across before, the bread was too thick, it was heavy and difficult to cut and eat, granted I am a little older and my teeth not as good as they were. Also the mushrooms were bigger and not as well cooked as I had expected, so not well received. The eggs and the sauce were good. But all and all the meal was a disappointment. My friend also ordered Eggs Benedict with bacon, she found the bread difficult and the bacon a major disappointment.

Great first impressions! They have the standard breaky & lunch on their menu, but they do them so well. Hands down the best mushrooms I've ever had. The service was great, all the staff were attentive. If i had to pick on one thing, it would be the music level- slightly loud and hard to hear the person sitting across you at times. Highly reccomend and will defo come back!!

The service was excellent. We made our order quickly and received our schnitzels and salads. The food was very good. The only criticism that I have is that when the fries are thin, they get cold quickly. We were very happy with our meal and will be back again with pleasure.

Great food, a pleasant setting and friendly staff. We sat outside under a shady tree, there was a water bowl for every dog and plenty of space to stretch out.

The noise level in the dining room was quite loud so we moved to the courtyard. Lovely coffee but the hotcakes were too dense and the texture was like they were stale (I stated this to one of the staff who said she would mention it to the chef). The other brunch order for my girlfriend was the brekkie burger which was enjoyable. The 2 girls that served us were very friendly and attentive

Coffee arrived Luke warm but to their credit did supply fresh hotter coffees. Toast was only toasted on 1 side and a very meaghet amount of butter. 3 small mushrooms at $5.50 for a side was I believe a miserly portion. Have eaten here previously with no complaints

Initially there was a mix up with our table but the manager handled it very expertly and we were very happy. Lovely food and relaxed afternoon.

Loved the menu. We all enjoyed our meals . And the service was friendly and efficient. Definitely going back. Looking forward to trying other dishes .

I usually avoid Saturdays, the surcharge puts me off a bit, but this was a special catch up with friends.

Good food, drinks and service, but noisy in front area and parking is a premium.

The food was delicious! However, that's where my praise stops! Our drinks took 30 mins to arrive, when we asked about them, we were told they were busy doing takeaway service. I would think eat in customers would get preference over take away orders. We had to ask a second time for our drinks before they finally arrived! I contacted the cafe prior to booking, asking for a recommendation for the best place to sit with a toddler. They sat us on a table right next to the kitchen (so wait staff were constantly going in and out) not a great place to sit. We were also charged 10% weekend surcharge plus a card surcharge (with no written or verbal warning of either of these)! I won't be going back in a hurry!

We were warmly greeted and had arrived an hour before our booking time. This was no problem at all and we were promptly seated at a lovely table outside. The staff were friendly and efficient adding to the lovely vibe of this cafe offering a range of delicious options. We were well looked after, well fed and left very happy. 😊 I would highly recommend a visit to this gem when in Hawthorn.

Very hot day and we sat in the covered area outside because it was quieter. Maybe we should have gone to the shady area at the back as it was too hot where we were. Fodd was very good and enjoyed by all.

For $80, we had three very small meals. The service was poor, and everything was rushed - they took our plate as soon as one person was done.

They were super accommodating as we had 1 yr old with us & very friendly. Nothing was an issue. The experience was great as usual. Food & coffee hit the spot for everyone. Thank you

Great food, greast service even if you cant get chips or parma. The eggs benedict were the best ive had, the green bowl was fabulous, the reuben delicious, the chicken sandwich tick and scrumptious.
