Great place to catch up with friends and share a meal

i went there with two friends on a Sat night, and was immediately greeted by friendly staff and incredible aroma of paella and tapas

Love this restaurant although only having one waiter on the floor meant that service was slow. Additionally, don't like the cheeky little surcharge on debit card payments. Apart from that, food is superb!

1st time at the restaurant following a recommendation. Menus more limited on the tapas section as expected. Belly pork dish good but lost its WOW appeal at presentation because it was cut up into smaller pieces covered with sauce. No option to have the belly pork as is

Great food. Lovely staff. Paella was really good. The dessert was the least fav of the meal but all in all I'd come back again :)

We had our staff Christmas party here and it was fabulous. Food was wonderful and they catered for all our dietary needs with ease. Will definitely be back!

Our table was uncomfortably placed so the wait staff stood with their bottoms in our faces and a dirty table wipe cloth hanging out of back pocket at face level. Menu had changed with fewer gluten free tapas options

Cosy atmosphere, nice space. Honest, tasty tapas. Service a little slow but genuinely friendly. Perfect for night out with good friends. Awesome piano next door. Great night out.

It’s used to be one of my favorite Spanish restaurant while I was living in Melbourne and I still go back every time when I have a chance to visit Melbourne. After the change of management or chef this year, the food presentation looks pretty ordinary and all I can taste is salt. Felt pretty embarrassed for bringing guest there!

We had been to Portello Rosso some years back and really enjoyed the food. This time we were somewhat disappointed. We went for the set menu, which was plentiful, but some dishes we didn’t enjoy so much; they were bland in taste. Potatoes with sour cream sound exotic in Spanish, but they are still just potatoes and sour cream. We felt it was very over priced for what it was. The service was brilliant; attentive and friendly but not intrusive. I’m not sure that we would return to try it again.

Felt very squished in & too noisy for my little group. I booked well in advance (was not just a walk in) and felt I should have been allocated a better table, not near the door / entrance that blasted cold air on to us every time someone came in. Also happy to give a tip but don't like being shamed into giving one. Having said all that, food and service was great
