More about the restaurant: Portello Rosso
Portello Rosso Melbourne is located right in the heart of the CBD. Portello Rosso is an eclectic, wonderfully cosy laneway restaurant on Warburton Lane where the welcome is warm, the classical tunes await and, most importantly for us, the gourmet Spanish tapas and drinks list are great. You’ll be able to pair some speciality Spanish tapas with a cocktail or two, a combination that’s unbeatable for taking the edge off in what is one of the coolest bars in the Melbourne CBD. Located upstairs in a heritage-listed warehouse and featuring romantic balcony tables and a shared long table, it’s a dining experience you don’t want to miss. The very best times are guaranteed so to avoid any disappointment it’s definitely best to reserve a table in advance.

Thinking about making a Portello Rosso booking?
Sat inside Portello Rosso Melbourne means you’re surrounded by exposed brick, a charming and cosy lighting rig, thick golden artwork frames, a few plants and plenty more that’s interesting to look at. Do you know of anywhere else in the Melbourne CBD where you’ve got all this as well as live music straight from the piano? No, didn’t think so, and to top everything off here on Warburton Lane, as we say, there’s Spanish food and drink menus to get excited about as well. So, round up your mates, call your date, contact whoever you need to and get them to Portello Rosso Melbourne for an exquisite time.
The food at Portello Rosso Melbourne is high-quality, fresher than fresh and perfect when accompanied by one or two martinis. We’d recommend the patatas bravas with spicy sauce and aioli; Peruvian ceviche with roasted corn and sweet potato; Spanish tortilla and a charcuterie platter topped with Serrano ham, chorizo, cured pork loin and grated tomato. Then, after you’ve worked your way through the tapas menu order up one of the paellas – you can thank us later. Oh, and the housemade churros with chocolate sauce are a must-try. As you can see, there are more than a few reasons why Portello Rosso is one of our favourite spots in the Melbourne CBD.
