Standard Chinese restaurant, decent food. However they forgot my partner’s order so she waited a long time for a simple dish. A little crowded.

Zongzi were all sold out for the day and no more would be available as the Dragon Boat festival day was about to be commemorated the next day. I was so looking forward to enjoying more of these sticky rice dumpling parcels. Nevertheless, the roast duck was always something delicious to enjoy anytime of the day.

When Dragon Boat Festival comes around, the food that (Chinese) people think of most is zongzi: sticky rice dumplings/parcels. These can be enjoyed here or as a takeaway to relish their umami deliciousness.

The signature roast duck is perhaps one of the best in Melbourne. Having it alone, with steamed rice or a side, with a selection of different noodles to chose from, with soup makes the entire dish versatile and delicious.

Delicious comfort food of roast and barbecue meats with rice and a side of vegetables accompanied by some daily house soup satisfies the appetite every time…

After our last dinner with an unwanted foreign body in our meal. Again something else was found on this occasion. A piece of plastic which seemed to be a fragment from a take away container was discovered in the midst of eating our meal. I advised all concern more care must be taken. For something like this to happen on two consecutive visit was not acceptable. Manager and chef were very apologetic and the dish was taken off the final bill. More importantly I stressed their operations practices need scrutiny as it’s a health and safety issue for all diners.

Found a strain of hair in one of our dishes we ordered for dinner… Manager and chef took swift action to resolve the issue and offered sincere apologies. Still this should never happen in the first place.

When ordering roast duck with rice or noodles you can request your desired cuts of the duck, be it the breast or thigh/leg. My preference is always the breast!

Found a ‘surprise' undesired addition that was in one of the regular dishes I usually ordered. The manager was very apologetic as was the main chef. A complimentary dessert was offered plus a discount on the entire bill for the inconvenience of the embarrassing incident. Otherwise, the meal was delicious as per usual.

Ordered our usual and delicious comfort food dishes on a wet cold winter’s evening. Totally satisfying and satisfied out entire appetite.

Try the following dishes as we do regularly… •Mini Angus Beef with Egg Plant 東瀛一口牛 •Fried Stuffed Beancurd with Vegetable 琵琶豆腐 Absolutely delicious and flavourful! Bon appetite!

So much on offer from the menu besides the comfort food of roast meats on display near the shop front window. The deliciousness of the dishes we ordered was unmistakably outstanding.

Delicious roast pork and barbecue pork with rice is comfort food during the cold autumnal days. An equally delicious pickled cold salad was served prior to the main meal.

Besides roast meats and poultry there is an extensive menu. We ordered some delicious scallops and vermicelli with XO sauce and another with garlic. Also fresh prawns, Japanese soft bean curd tofu and Chinese greens. These dishes were displayed on the wall menu. Totally delicious and we will be back for more fresh seafood dishes in future.

No doubt one of the best roast duck and roasted Cantonese meats, be it char siew or siew yuk, in Melbourne. Always consistent whether be it served with plain steamed rice or noodles with Chinese greens.

The lockdown and subsequent surge of Omicron has not effected the deliciousness of the roast duck on offer. Most of the business is now take away.
