Located on Wickham Street, Satay Ria offers a delectable Malaysian dining experience in Fortitude Valley. With two restaurants in the city, Satay Ria is the place to go for authentic Malaysian cuisine and you’ll find a range of time-tested dishes on the menu here, from tasty laksa soup to chilli mud crab and Satay Ria’s specialty satay skewers. We recommend beginning your meal by sharing the mixed entree (satay chicken, spring rolls, curry puffs and deep-fried prawn fritters), before trying some king prawns with assam sauce, chicken laksa or BBQ pork omelette followed by some coconut jelly and ice cream with a gula melaka topping. To guarantee a table at Satay ria in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley, make a reservation in advance!
I spilt a glass of wine, no need to ask for help, the staff saw it and rushed to my aid. That's called attentive service. The food is as good and as authentic as you would get in any top notch Malaysian restaurant. All I can say is go there, this place is the real deal.
Satay Ria was nice. Took a bit long to order but the guy taking orders was flat out. We made a reservation and got the table with the lazy Susan, that was really fun and convenient. Would definitely recommend the special friend rice and stir-fried veggies with satay sauce.
My very favourite Malaysian restaurant! The food is always beautiful and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Just love coming here for a great meal.
Great food and extensive menu Value for money prices very reasonable Staff could have been more attentive Good size servings Nasi Goring could have been better Overall great food great prices
The food was good but was disappointed with the surrounds. We walked in at 7pm and there were two large tables of 12 that had not had their dishes cleared away...it looked like a crash site!
