Shield St Eats

I've eaten there before and had take-away and it was good, but this time it was a terrible disappointment. The service was very slow and I had to chase up the food twice. The appetiser was underdone and the main courses were overdone, dry , and unappealing. There was clearly not enough staff.

The guys did a great job seeing they were short staff, the wait time was a bit long but we did have a group of 25 pax, but overall they did the best they could do. And I was happy with that knowing there situation. So all good.

The pizza was Amazing! The ice cream/gelato not so inviting, we went elsewhere for dessert, maybe sign & fill up your tubs & clear the tables often of glasses etc. The staff very lovely 🥰

The table was really dirty. You have to get everything yourself including table water and when I asked a server who delivered our meal, which took over half an hour for 2 burgers, if there were coasters, he pointed to where they are on the servery and said we need to go get them. This was my first and final visit. I am a local.

We loved the wood fire pizza and vegan burger. Having gluten free dishes was amazing.

Limited menu on offer due to staff shortages in the kitchen.

The food was amazing, the staff are very helpful and polite. We had a great time and will definitely recommend and be returning soon.
