We choose our accommodation because we wanted to try this restaurant as we only came back from our holiday in Jerusalem in January & we missed Israeli food. This restaurant didn’t disappoint us. The fish, steak & the vegetables were fresh & tasty. The wine list was small but we loved what we had. The coffee was sensational & we bought a bag of coffee beans to take home. The service were great with the friendly staff. We ended up going back for the breakfast & it remained us of Jerusalem so much! Thank you.

The food was very disappointing. I had the lamb and hummus (which I have had before and has been delicious). However it was cold as if it had come straight out of the fridge. My son had the shakshuka which he said was good and my husband had the barramundi which he said was tasteless. It was a very cold, rainy and windy day and as the restaurant is very open it was very cold inside. The service was very good. The waitresses were very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous food but what shone even more than the excellent fare was the amazing and friendly waitstaff. We had an elderly mother on her walker and our waiter could not have been kinder to her and organised a dish not on the menu that she could eat comfortably. Shuk is just WOW. We will be back !

Great food. A cut above what you’d be used to from a neighbourhood cafe or bistro.

A little slow on the adult mains this lunchtime but I like the way they get the kids' meals out quickly no matter how busy they are.

Very tasty, authentic food in a warm atmosphere. Will definitely come again!

We're delighted that this fabulous restaurant is now in our neighbourhood. The ambience is pleasant and away from the from the general fray of Macleay St. The food is interesting, delicious and GENEROUS.

Enjoyed the setting and the food. Requested outside seating to reduce the noise level. Service needs to improve as we had to remind the waitress of our drink orders. Apart from these small issues we had a very pleasant mid-week lunch

Not our first visit to Shuk, which is becoming a reliable neighbourhood favourite. This time we took our friend who has spent time in Israel and she was impressed with the quality and authenticity. Very pleasant service, as usual. We especially appreciated the healthy and generous kids' menu.

Delightful local restaurant. Pleasant decor, small menu but excellent dishes, nicely presented. Well priced. Will return.

Food ✔️Service ✔️ Coffee not hot. Kept trying to clear plates before everyone finished (annoyingly COMMON nowadays - a brush up on dining etiquette needed).

Arrived to find most of café taken up by a very large and noisy party of about 25 people. This made the whole venue extremely noisy so was very difficult to hear. Staff seemed embarrassed by the noise level and realised that they should have closed off the other indoor tables rather than allow them to be used. Food good, service good, but would not go again due to noise.

Great food and quick service. Just need to sort out the morning sun issue...was blinded by the early morning sun, and that was inside table.!

Nice food. Expensive especially with add-ons, but good quality. Shukshuka is a fav as well as hummus and falafels are amazing ly delicious. Long wait for table.

Every time we go they have run out of everything. This would be acceptable if it was late in the day but to run out of items on the menu at 12.30pm means they are missing out on $$$ in the cash register and disappointing customers. I hope the management can resolve this issue.

Food and service were both excellent. I would have given 6 stars but the restaurant is noisy and also very hot the day we visited.

Food is just as amazing as I've come to expect from the North Bondi location, completely love all the Israeli options! Service is efficient and accurate, just not super friendly. Manic on weekends for brunch, so book ahead. Will be coming back as it's in my neighbourhood!

Fabulous! Just as good as Shuk Bondi. We were running 15 mins late & lost our table (our fault as we should have rang to let them know). However we only had to wait 5-6 mins for another table. Food and service was excellent l!
