Silky Apple is the nicest Chinese restaurant we’ve ever been to. The food is delicious and excellent quality. Would highly recommend. The staff are lovely too

We enjoyed our first visit. Staff were friendly & discreet. The food was of a high standard especially the Cantonese sizzling beef fillet. We'll be back!

Not what it used to be. We waited over 20 mins once seated to be offered any food. The selection handed around was ok but not amazing. We ended up ordering more off the menu. End of an era

The food was fantastic. However, the stairs are hard particularly for a person with a walking stick. Much better to let them have a table on the lower level - we were at the top level. Food and Service very good.

Had a lovely Yum Cha yesterday (N.B. you have to ask for the YC menu). I think having the menu instead of carts coming round led to a more enjoyable meal

Nice food as usual, but a little over-priced. Decor looking a bit tired as nothing done in 30 years. Usually very busy on a Saturday night, but only a few tables there this time. Probably reflective of price and decor.

A family favorite, we came to celebrate our daughters birthday. Everything was first class. Exceptional food and great service. We have been coming regularly for over 15 years and the quality is always high.

We were really disappointed with our dinner this time at Silky Apple. Our previous visits have been fantastic but last night it was as if the chef didn't even try. The food lacked flavour and our fried icecreams weren't even crisp or warm on the outside... Frozen solid all the way through. When I asked why the fried icecream wasn't "fried" the Manager's response was that it depended on how hot the oil was!!!??? Didn't offer any apology and just took my uneaten dessert without offering anything in return and still charged us all for the uncooked fried icecream. Very bad service.

Silky Apple has excellent food choices and high quality food. The staff are very attentive and you do not wait long for your dishes. It is a good choice for kids & family gatherings.

Always great to return to Silky Apple. The food is reliably very good. The people are pleasant, aim to please and a delight to watch as they serve people. We always enjoy going there whether we are on our own or without grandchildren.

The food is amazing! We had the Peking beef which was heaven. First time we've had it and it won't be the last. They serve the best sweet and sour pork. The honey chicken is nice but not the best. The fried rice is delicious! The service is great. Can't wait to go back again!

Fantastic old school Chinese decor and super friendly staff. Family friendly and spacious layout. Yummy black bean & chilli king prawns! Fried ice cream with a lovely delicate lemony coating and a flaming garnish was a special experience.... We will be back again soon.

Yum cha was very yum and excellent value. Service was good. Spring rolls, pork buns, sui mai and ha gow - all delightful. Will be back!

It was very cold through the dinner. We didn't even take off our coats. Food's very pricey,not appealing at all,covered in starch. Many years ago use to be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Melbourne, unfortunately not anymore

This was one of my favourite restaurants. This time when I went there was no variety they put us on a table that was too small, because they had given and table away. It was supposed to be Yum Cha but we had to keep asking for the different food and they kept missing the tables in our section. It was one of the worst Yum Cha lunches I've had. I spoke to the girl after and she didn't seem concerned!
