Further Information

Decorated in the style of a traditional Swiss gaststube with blonde-wood furniture, Swiss Club of Victoria is full of authentic charm and at this Melbourne CBD restaurant you’ll experience legendary Swiss hospitality. Swiss cuisine takes inspiration from some German, Italian and French dishes, but gives them its own twist, and on the menu at the Swiss Club of Victoria you’ll find a range of choices that represent this distinctive central European confluence admirably.

Try the bünder teller (thinly-shaved air-dried beef served with cornichons and cocktail onions) or some fleischkäse (rösti with meatloaf and a fried egg) to start with before tucking into a hearty Swiss main dish. We recommend the rehpfeffer (venison goulash with spätzli and red cabbage) and the half roasted duckling in a port wine sauce, or you could share the decadent cheese fondue which comes served alongside bread and apples. Pair your meal with some imported Swiss wine and beer, or try some Rivella, Switzerland's most popular soft drink. For a taste of authentic Swiss cuisine in Melbourne’s CBD book a table at Swiss Club of Victoria on Flinders Lane.

A relaxing atmosphere with good service and great Swiss food. The chef also came out of the kitchen to check that everything was fine. Will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Reminded me of my wedding reception at the Drei Rosen (unfortunately no more) restaurant in Basel. Decor, menu, service etc. at Swiss Club took my wife & I back.

A pleasant evening sharing a fondue and a couple of glasses of Swiss wine with friends. A couple of tiny details - They were no apples with the bread as per the menu, but when we pointed it out they found us a pear. We were asked a couple of times if we had a Groupon voucher (we didn't, we had booked through Quandoo), and that could be avoided (it should be clear from the booking, and no need to keep asking when we said no the 1st time). Details though, we'd go back!

Reasonably priced delicious food with truly Swiss roots. Go Thursday night and enjoy the Swiss style life music on top. Fondue as a main or at least for dessert is a 'must' ....
