I love Tacco & Tosca - such a lovely family business.
Delicious Italian, wood-fired pizza, beautiful salads and friendly service in the heart of Middle Park. If you’re travelling, it’s just a few minutes walk from both the 96 and 12 trams.
Delicious food and attentive service. We’ll definitely be going back
staff far too busy to bother looking after their customers
Fantastic service and the food was delicious. Setting is wonderful and couldn’t ask for anything more. There was nothing we could have asked for the was too much.
good pizza and Italian experience with good range of Italian drinks
Great menu, well priced food and wine and a real authentic Italian feeling. The courtyard setting provides a great place to sit and catch up with friends
Great food and a good variety of wines, Italian & Australian. The staff are very friendly & attentive. Overall we had a brilliant night and will be back again.
Happy family restaurant with great food, different because it is Puglia cuisine. Excellent. Happy to accommodate a family function, we were there at 6 and the place was full of little children, which makes a happy Italian atmosphere. By 7pm it was mostly adults.
Best pizza in all Melbourne, great service and nice atmosphere. Always a good experience
Consistently great service and food plus s friendly professional environment We love this local Italian restaurant great authentic staff that aim to please you any night of the week
A wonderful friendly restaurant with an authentic feel. Knowledgeable and friendly staff with great attitudes. Menu contains a good variety of dishes, and wine list is good, with reasonably priced wines. Restaurant has an upmarket and rustic feeling. One of my favourites in Melbourne.
Great atmosphere and food as always. They probably need more than one server to take orders as they were especially busy. That said our food came quickly and was delicious.
Great food and great service Lots of GF options Pizza and pasta good and panda cotta voted the best dessert EVER by one of our party
What a lovely dining experience today! Delicious food and fabulous service. Sitting in the courtyard we felt like we were transported to Italy! Can’t wait to return.
Fantastic setting. Lovely staff and food, BYO is a bonus. It is an ideal place for larger groups as well, we have enjoyed celebrating special occasions many times. The courtyard is a fabulous venue for a lazy lunch on a sunny day.
Never disappoints!! This beautiful family owned trattoria serves food that is consistently outstanding and the service is always warm and friendly. It’s our local favourite for sure!
Wonderful food and wine and great service. Friendly staff. Pasta was delicious and finished with a lovely Limoncello. Highly recommended for lunch and easy parking nearby.
Love love this restaurant great food a real local lovely staff easy as a real joy. Children dogs grannies great grannies Nona’s all so welcome
This is our local Italian restaurant and over time we have worked out how to optimise our visits. Booking was easy on line, and the welcome is great as you enter past the kitchens - everyone says hello or "Buena Serra". At the back there are simple tables and chairs, fairly comfortable, but I think rather closely packed. There is a sense that families and locals use it - very Italian. The wine list was weighted to Italian - even a section of wines from Puglia (this region seems a theme in the menu too). There was a range of prices and wine available by the glass. The menu is good, with a range of staple Italian offerings. The print is far too small! There was a short list of specials. I had some trouble finding a couple of smaller dishes - and the pizza I eventually ordered was too big for me (66 yo). All the food was tasty and all four of us enjoyed it. From past experience the entrees are large as well. So sharing is one strategy we have adopted here. We do not usually have desserts, so can't comment - the coffee was very good. The one stand-out problem was the service - all very friendly but we had to seek them out a few times in the evening. And the restaurant was not full. Cost was reasonable for this area. With a bottle of $55 wine and four people, and sharing an entree - it worked out at about $50 per head. Yes, we will continue to use it, and support them....but will continue to work out strategies in using the menu.
When you choose Tacco & Tosca you can't get wrong! The atmosphere in the outdoor garden is always amazing, a beautiful southern italian garden, so homey. The service is very attentive and welcoming. The food is great, delicious and authentic. We decided to share 3 entrees and one main: cozze alla marinara, calamari fritti, insalata di polpo and linguine con pesto e telline. A classic Tiramisu to finish. Thanks chef!
Calzone was cold and when we asked the waiter they advised the chef said it was fine. We told them we couldn’t eat it and they took it away and then still charged us for it anyway.
One of the best Italian family restaurants with excellent food, good choice of wines and very best service, highly recommended. Will definitely come back more often
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Highly recommended for a lazy Sunday lunch, especially in the courtyard on a sunny day. Neighborhood gem. BYO is a bonus.
Wonderful restaurant that caters for all age groups. Food always beautifully fresh and well presented. Have been many times and will definitely revisit again soon
Good food and atmosphere. Nice neighbourhood bistro that has delivered every time that I have eaten there. Good menu variety and genuine Italian ambience. Recommended.
You feel very welcomed from entering to your last bite. The food is excellent and reasonable value for money and being BYO it allows you to drink your own choices.
We were there for an early Father’s Day dinner and the food and service were great. The lamb Ragu pasta was a stand out and we loved that it was kid friendly.
Deliciousness all around! Hospitality just as good as the food! Truely brings us back to Tuscany! No hesitation recommending this place is a Tuscan gem!
