Tao Dumplings - South Yarra

My wife and I went for dinner last night as we had been a number of times before. We had the chicken and sweet corn soup to start as we always do but it was watery with little taste. We then had the lettuce cup (can't spell correct name) and I ask for plum sauce which never came. We had duck skin wraps which were good and then calamari which was chewy. All in all disappointing.

Food and Service was wonderful like it always is !

Yummy dumplings...staff very kind and helpful. The ambience in the restaurant is really nice with a cool vibe. Highly recommend for a really tasty meal.

I have been to Tao Dumplings multiple times. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is great. The vegetarian dumplings are some of the best I have had.

The best food ever, highly reccomend, friendly staff great service what more could I say. This is a place worth travelling for and the dumplings are amazing.

The food is of good value. The dumplings are really delicious. The staff are friendly and environment cozy. I’ll definitely go again soon and tell my friends about it.

Great food, good atmosphere , decent service, more than dumplings but everything was very tasty. Service was friendly and responsive if a little devoid of initiative (it’s easier to drink if you have a glass!). Very reasonably priced. Recommended with enthusiasm.

I went to the wrong venue. This review is for camberwell. The restaurant was very busy and they accommodated my friend and I. The food was good but the service was slightly slow. This is an important factor for a lunch break in a working day. However, I would go back. This is a place I would recommend

My partner and I eat at Tao’s a lot and when I took my family there they were blown away! Food is fantastic and well priced, restaurant is amazing and the staff are so friendly. Couldn’t recommend them more. They are my go to Asian restaurant in South Yarra

The food was great, ambiance was excellent both combined to offset somewhat initial slow service. When the food started to come the delivery was fast, efficient and friendly.

For the first time ever had to send a dish back but was promptly taken back , replaced and apologised for , awesome service and if you’re reading this don’t hesitate to try this restaurant it’s top notch.

Delicious food, fast service and attentive staff. I will definitely be going back for more. We enjoyed some pork and chicken/prawn dumplings and fried rice.

The food was great as usual , the service was a touch on the slow side especially with drinks , but overall a pretty good night out.

Has a great range of dumplings, and quick service Szechuan chilli dumplings and the steamed pork probably the favourite The pepper beef is also good

Delicious! Huge variety, super reasonably priced and its BYO wine. For a nice cheap eat, you cant go wrong. I will be back for sure :)

This place is great for a quick casual dinner. Delicious dumplings and other Chinese favourites. To top it off, the service is also very good!

Food excellent, service friendly. This is a fairly new South Yarra gem, being a party of we tried a good selection of the menu and really couldn't fault any of the dishes.

Great ambience, very friendly and attentive staff, exceptional food with a huge amount of choices, very reasonably priced. We were surprised at how good it was and will return soon.

Good open space as we had a large table upstairs with room to move, lots of dishes to try with yummy dumplings and friendly staff.
