A very pleasant experience of dining out as always there.

Excellent service as always. I have dined here before and every occasion including this one the food, atmosphere and level of service was at its usual high standard.

I have Coeliac Disease and the GF options are delicious. I have eaten at Taxiboat on numerous occasions over the years and have not had any issue/reaction to the food, I always feel reassured when dining here and the staff are very attentive and helpful.

Entrees sent back as not hot. Not all meals served at the same time. Wine list poor. Staff not competent with what’s going on. Food good but poor organisation.

Ribs were cold but cooked perfectly so still tasty. Wine tasted like it may have been opened for a while. Service was great and everything else was quite yummy. The rockling in sweet sake sauce was really nice. Ambience is good. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The food was delicious, Thursday evening there's a special offer which was excellent value. The 2 front of house staff were not watching the room, often missing guests trying to get their attention for table service. We would highly recommend for the food.

My partner is fructose intolerant so an absolute joy to find a restaurant that proactively provides no onion, no garlic meal options and actively cater for people on FODMAP diets. She was over the moon to see SOOOH many choices for her & the food was sensational.......the rockling in sake was stunning......the most delicate, tasty fish I've eaten in years !!! The Best restaurant i/we've been to for a long time.......do yourself a favour ....!!!!

Great service, really good food at a reasonable price, manager/owner checked in at the end of our meal, waitresses were punctual efficient and non-intrusive

First time we had to sit out the back room, was a little squishy under stair table and little dark. However food was excellent as always, great choices and we love that its so close to The Palais Theatre across the road.
