One of the best indian atmosphere restaurant with live music

It was terrible experience and staff had no idea what is happening and were going hear and there without any clue. We ordered food for kids and asked them to bring it first and brought them last. And also handed over the cake for my wife’s birthday and had to wait for 15 mins to bring it to table from fridge. The food was ok too.

I have been to Black prince 3 times. I love the vibe and food is so good.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Ruined a Special Occasion We arrived at 8:00 pm, ordered our entrée, and after finishing it, promptly placed our order for mains. However, 40 minutes passed with no sign of our food. When we enquired, a staff member initially suggested that we must have forgotten to place our order—an absurd assumption. Isha, then admitted she had gone on a break and forgotten to submit it. in those 40 minutes, no one checked why our table had not received any food. At that point, the evening was already spoiled. I told them we no longer wanted the mains. Isha walked away without any genuine apology. When I requested to speak to one, Isha claimed the manager was not in and that she did not have their contact details—something I find hard to believe. Eventually, another staff member, Devrat (“Mady”), who had been watching from a distance and Isha claimed was the manager (I was shocked as she initially said they were not in) came over and said he was the shift supervisor, not the manager. His solution was to ask us to “come again and give them another chance” as we were leaving without having our main meal. It was deeply disappointing to see a busy Saturday night left in the hands of some inexperienced and unprofessional school kids who failed to handle the situation appropriately. Your lack of accountability, empathy, and basic service standards turned what should have been a special celebration into a night of frustration. An apology alone cannot undo the fact that you ruined a significant occasion for us. Our friends had asked us for recommendations post our visit as this seemed to be a popular place, never recommending and never coming back again!

The venue was very noisy, and we had to raise our voices just to talk across the table. The food took a long time to arrive and unfortunately wasn’t worth the wait. However, the drinks and desserts were enjoyable.

Great food, great vibes! I had a really good experience here. The food was delicious and came in big portions – you definitely get great value for money! The prices were very reasonable. On top of that, there was live singing which made the atmosphere even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty food, good service, and a fun night out.

The atmosphere was incredible – the live music was the perfect vibe for the evening, and Deepanshu, the singer, was absolutely brilliant. Huge thanks to the owners and creators for bringing such a unique British Indian pub to Melbourne – it’s truly one of a kind. And the food… wow! My friends and I agreed it was hands down the best dal makhani we’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was very good. We ordered biryani, chicken tikka, lamb chops and roganjosh. Everything was amazing. Must try. On top it was live bollywood music. The guy singing was really good and the vibe was amazing. Overall amazing experience

Superb, delicious food, from Samosas to Naan, excellent solicitous service.

Just disappointed with the garlic naan as I requested it to be crispy, meaning well cooked, but it was soft. Otherwise, food was really good.

Vege korma very bad, not like what a korma should be. No mention of meals not coming with rice until they had already Arrived and this should have been mentioned during ordering.

The music was too loud. The live music performance was probably the worst I've seen in a very long time

Busy so the service was very slow. Half an hour to get a drink. Very loud as acoustics cause everyone to shout. The guy singing was quite good but it was so loud in there hard to enjoy. Food ok but not great, we left early.
