Family of 10 celebrating a birthday. Good time enjoyed by all.

We asked to share a hamburger (we are very light eaters) and requested it be cut in half - 3 times the person taking order repeated this request but when the hamburger arrived it was whole and we weren't given sharing plates. We asked the wait person if we could have the hamburger cut in half and some sharing plates. She picked up a regular knife from the table and handed it to us to cut the hamburger - she gave us 2 small side plates for our food. We had a side order of greens but there was no serving utensil - we had to use our own forks. Great employing students, but teach them how to serve if that's their job... Atmosphere and location perfect - dreadful service.

Como Hotel has lots of character & always great to visit

Good view food was great and cost very reasonable ,will visit again .

frequent visitor to como hotel.. Sadly food has not been hot when served on several occasions Managers and staff are FABULOUS and offer great service and are very very helpful Front line in kitchen needs to understand customers pay for a meal that should be served when cooked.. not left to sit and arrive at table cold

We were a table of 4 people. 3 of us had the grilled baramundi which were excellent. The other person had the grilled sirlion steak was very rubbery. Because of the steak I cannot rate the food higher than I have

Food was great and staff were lovely. We were there for a birthday celebration and staff were very helpful with the cake and candles. Will definitely go back.

The food was sensational! Best steak in The Shire. And the views were amazing.

Great food, service was excellent and is great venue to have lunch then kick back and enjoy the afternoon.

After a slight mix up with the table the staff sorted it out and we all had a lovely lunch

Way too busy and noisy, nowhere near enough staff for the number of bookings, so massive queues for bar and food. Tables a bit cramped so people kept kicking our chairs walking past.

Good quality food and a nice quiet pub venue unlike so many others.

Family of 4, Service was friendly, food was timely and good, we’ll priced.

Almost dont want to leave a review to let the cat out of the bag but this place was awesome for a large booking with kids. A must for Sunday or Saturday lunch. Even has a playground undercover.

Wonderful Father’s Day lunch on the verandah with a lovely view.

Love the hotel. Service was a little slow, but the place was packed so was undetstandable.

It was all over by 9pm, no coffee no dessert every one was going back home. We had to go all the way to tradies for coffee, shame

Hotel was undergoing renovations which was a little inconvenient but food and service was still excellent.

under renovation kitchen screwed up orders food was good but cold will definitely be back when refurb is complete could be a cracking place

Fantastic venue (some renos happening but not intrusive), great service, good prices, very good food. Parking is a bit of a problem on weekends. Need to let customers know that there is a lift available because if you don’t enter from the car park there are lots of steps.

A return visit after two months away, didn't realise it's being refurbished so we got to see the top floor, but it's going to be great back in L1 once it's finished! Hoping seafood chowder will be back on the menu. Yum!

Great pub food, excellent prices on a Tuesday and top location in the shire!!!

I love going to Como Hotel, but I feel the menu just isn't quite as good as it used to be! And on a Friday night at 6.30pm there was only a soup and pasta on the specials, rest was rubbed out. Food was still good but would like to see more than the standard burgers and schnitzel

The food and atmosphere were great. Would go again. Great overall experience

Good pub food done really well at a good price

Ribs served were not very imaginative in terms of presentation, though table service was good.

We chose a day that wasn’t busy so that was extra beneficial

Was a fabulous night......all our party enjoyed it. Atmosphere etc was great

We came to celebrate 2 birthdays and were treated very well . We were allowed to move to a different table to have more privacy, we brought our own cake and staff looked after it for us. Our meals were all delicious. Staff could not do enough to make us feel welcome even though the restaurant was full . We were not made to feel we had to go even though I think we were actually the final party to leave . A lovely venue for a special celebration.

The atmosphere at the Como Hotel is inviting . The staff are friendly and attentive . The view is special . The food is fantastic value . Thoroughly recommend !!

We were a group of ladies who formerly worked together over twenty years ago. Our reunion was wonderful, felt like it was just yesterday when had been together last and the relaxed atmosphere at the Como Hotel went a long way towards making our day such a great success.
