Oozing charm, sophistication and 1940s cool, The Flynn is the place to be if you’re in Sydney. Having undergone a recent revamp, this CBD spot is fitted out with cosy, chic furniture and the attention to detail in the design is second to none, complementing the food and drinks just perfectly. As for the food, well, The Flynn’s got a range of choices to suit whatever mood you happen to be in. From casual and relaxed dining, to more formal set menus and, of course, a selection of bar snacks that go down a treat with a tipple or two. The dishes on offer are inspired by Australian favourites with an emphasis on seasonal produce, so you can be sure what you’re eating is of the best quality. Sounds just ideal to us!

The Flynn is one of my favourite places for a meal in the CBD. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent, with a great variety served quickly and affordable. My favourite is the Southern fry chicken burger with chips and aioli. You can't go wrong with that!
Orders come out at random - people who joined our table after the booking time and ordered on a separate number received their foods way before the people who were there at first. This has happened a few times and we really don't know why it happens?
The food and ambience at The Flynn suit each other like peas in a pod. The dishes are fresh and match the cocktails, which in turn both match the Old World charm this Sydney haunt evokes. If you’re in for drinks, keep an eye out for The Flynn specials and try your luck with the Sloe Mexico made with fresh orange, celery bitters, Cuervo tequila and Sloe gin, or, Henry’s summer punch mixed with Hendricks, Chambord, apple and lime. Or keep it classic with an espresso martini or negroni, a bottle of wine, prosecco or beer. No matter what your tipple of choice, this Sydney CBD haven will have you satiated just right.
As for the food, well, get ready. Kick things off in true Australian and Sydney style with a serving of salt & pepper squid with lashing of chilli, lemon and black garlic aioli and spiced chicken oyster tacos with slaw, mint, puffed rice and harissa yoghurt. Yum, right? Then, tuck into the apollo burger made with lamb shoulder, slaw, mint, harissa and house pickles; macadamia-crusted barramundi served with cauliflower mousse, wild mushrooms and truffle oil; or an artisanal pizza topped with buffalo mozzarella, basil, fior de latte and tomato. With plenty more on offer, do yourself a favour and reserve a table at The Flynn as soon as you can for some of the best Australian fare in Sydney. Located on Bligh Street in the CBD, make sure you bring your appetite!
