Very good dining in a casual style. A little out of the way location but easy once you find them. Have been here several times and enjoyed the interesting combinations of Euro and Asian. Would highly recommend.
My wife and I visited the Foraging Quail on the evening Saturday 3rd September. The décor and ambience is nice and the meals look good but our expectations were let down: Starters: The tempura asparagus batter was heavy and hard while the asparagus was over-cooked and mushy. The beef with lemongrass in beetle-nut leaves was very bland with almost no lemongrass flavor and little other seasoning. Main: The slow-cooked beef ribs were coated in a solid, inedible crust and were luke-warm with no jus or gravy. The mixed green vegetables were beautifully presented but again luke-warm. Wine: limited selection of wine by-the glass but good selection of full bottle. The wine waiter ungracefully sloshed the wine into my wife's glass. Thanks but we wont be returning.
Food was great, however the slow service let them down, despite it being a very quiet Saturday night with only 4 tables occupied at the peak.
