The egg, the egg, the humble – and in this case, naked – egg. Where would the culinary world be without the egg? The team at The Naked Egg often wonder the same, hence this charming cafe’s name. We know Melbourne isn’t short of cafes, but this one in Yarraville just has something about it. You can find it on Ballarat Street where outstanding Genovese coffee and menus for any time of day await. Breakfast is served from 8am, while for lunch there are homemade grilled sandwiches, roti wraps and some top notch artisan pies. Stopping by for dinner? Boy, you’re in for a treat. Just a few dishes you have to choose from are braised lamb penne, eggplant parmigiana or smoked salmon carpaccio. Yarraville loves The Naked Egg, and you will too.
Our visit to the naked egg was our first. Our "reserved table" ( online ) was nowhere to be seen, so I guess we were lucky to get one at all ! The food was great ( entree and main ) and the music was enjoyable but far too loud. Would've stayed for a dessert but the decibels were just too high ! Will probably give it another shot but with a different artist.
Good food and great service! They had live music and it just added to our amazing experience. We'll be back for more delicious food and time.
We enjoyed good food and service at a reasonable price. There was a great cover band on Sat night! I will definitely return to this place 😀
Great food and great service. Would definitely return again. Staff are friendly and helpful which. Ames the dining experience a pleasant one. Will recommend to friends.
