The food and service were amazing. The Cajun prawn pasta was really tasty

We booked at short notice, requested a window table but these were reserved for large group. We sat on the main level next to a window . Large number of menu choices but I always like the pizzas here - they seem to have gone back to the original tomato base sauce from years ago so that made me happy. Fast service from familiar staff made a pleasant evening. In and out within 1 hour.

We had never been to the restaurant and we liked it right away. The pizza oven, the furniture and the atmosphere. The food was great and we had a good evening.

Nice vibe excellent wait staff. Pizza was delicious. Eggplant parmigiana was very disappointing food was served cold/warm and the eggplant was under cooked-crunchy and tomato and carrot vegetable sauce also under cooked … disappointing … WAIT STAFF EXCELLENT!!

Such a nice little restaurant tucked away in a quiet street. Food was good we, had the specials which were very nice. Portion sizes were good and in line with the pricing. Kids meals were huge with a lot of chips. Would visit again, recommend giving this place a go.

Service was good, but food was average. Undercooked dough in baked Camembert. Pizza base of bruschetta was delicious.

We had a lovely birthday celebration with friends there. Good variety of foods and drinks on the menu. Foods was delicious and service was great. My favourite was the grilled king prawn and tiramisu, kids liked the pizzas!

Very disappointed. Lambshanks served cold and had to be recooked. Medium rare steak cooked to welldone. Wont be back.

The staff were amazing, and very helpful. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, and everything went very well. We were able to bring decorations, and a cake, with no problems

We booked the Sawmill for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful family dinner. The food was amazing! We loved the fresh taste of king prawns. The pizza dough from their fornance was delicious. My son and I were delighted by our choice of Panna Cotta for our dessert. All the restaurant staff were very pleasant, and the restaurant was surrounded by such a friendly atmosphere. It is a hidden gem in Gordon West. We would come back inviting our parents.

Flavor of pasta was “drowned” by too much cheese especially the pasta with clams. It was more like carbonara with clams

Whoever does your stocktaking needs to improve, quick smart. Out of vodka, so couldnt have cocktails, out of Italian red ( sangiovese/shiraz) was offered another at a higher price - should have offereed at same price as the one I wanted. Food was lovely. Tables very close together so therefore lower rating on atmosphere and noise.

Wouldn’t eat here again, service was slack and food was a bit bland.

Staff were polite and cooperative. The section out the back has better ambiance for those who want a little quieter atmosphere.

It’s so good be be back at The Sawmill in 2023. As regular visitors in 2022, we looked forward to the new menu. We were not disappointed - excellent choices and options, with great presentation. The new Wine list is great too - it’s nice to see Primitivo in Sydney - we loved it.
