The Vault on Nelson

Great venue for a Sunday lunch, everyone in our group of 9 enjoyed the restaurant.

It was lovely to have a roaring open fire and be seated right by it. The decor is elegant with some strange discrepencies, such as two giant teddy bears!!! WHY?? and mural is a bit old hat. The team were very attentive and informed. My French Martini hit the spot. The Lobster pasta seemed to have strange contents such as french beans and cherry tomatoes. It was nice, but I suppose a traditional mornay or simple lime butter pepper would have complimented this most luxurious of ingredients rather than overpower it. The Calamari salad was fresh and light.

Fantastic service - the virus were super friendly and accommodating. IInched the lamb rump and out was cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend to anyone. The price was also really reasonable.

Nice location in Williamstown and interesting selection of food. Friendly staff.

Main meal was great, but dessert was mediocre. Empty plates sat on our table for a long time before being cleared. Service could be better.

Diverse menu (Asian fusion) and our choices of beef curry and calamari were delicious. Sizes were perfect for a quick business lunch. Efficient and pleasant service. Definately a return visit is waranted

Great service and food was plentiful, very well presented and tasty. Terrific location in Williamstown and the option of dining alfresco or inside the beautiful historic building. Worth a visit!

Staff wasn't very attentive even though we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Wine was average, but food was good. Didn't listen about when to bring out dishes

We went here today to celebrate my daughters 30th everything from the food to the service and the Historic Building with Waterfront views awesome !

A magnificent meal thoroughly enjoyed it, the seafood was excellent and the bombe Alaska so good service was good, very friendly staff, will definitely return.

Our group had limited time in Williamstown. The restaurant was able to meet our request to have our meals ready when we arrived. We had a short wait for our meals and overall we were satisfied with the quality of the food.

The Vault on Nelson was absolutely superb. I could not recommend it enough. My fiancé and I booked a high tea for two and they treated us excellently. We were placed in a romantic private room with the high tea already set up. The service was incredibly attentive, the food was delicious. We don't drink alcohol so they switched out our sparkling wine for lemon lime and bitters instead. We also had the lemongrass ginger tea which I recommend if you're having high tea - it goes really well with the sandwiches. Overall, it was a beautiful atmosphere and the experience really made our day. We will definitely come back again for another high tea or dinner.

They forgot our order and when did arrive the meal was luke warm and the rice side was inedible and had to be replaced. Saw another 3 tables where food was returned, entree arrived after the main was served, another didnt receive a meal. Overall would not recommend the restaurant

it was lovely of Will to contact me via sms to confirm the booking. I didn't know I requested for sits in the courtyard which was a bad idea for winter. Will changed our reserve table next to the fireplace. it's cosy and warm. I tried all three cocktails, loved the Espresso Martini. I had Black Mussel for entrée, Eye Fillet for main, & Stickydate Pudding for dessert.... yummm...

We really enjoyed the lovely meal at Alexanders. The service was great and the staff were very attentive. It was not a busy evening but it is very central location and managed to park very close to the restaurant. Will certainly be back again soon.

Great food & very tentative service. Tables & chairs were a bit dirty as was my beer glass. We were also overcharged for our dessert which was on special at $10 but we were charged the normal $19 price. But overall a great experience and would go back.

Food was good, service was better than the previous times I've been there but there is still room for improvement to make it excellent. They honoured our Entertainment Book vouchers even though the name had changed which was greatly appreciated. An enjoyable experience

A menu that caters for everyone with a fusion of modern Australian and Asian dishes. Great value and service! Staff are very friendly. Lovely atmosphere.
