Terrible food & service Once we reached there, we found out that they have a set menu after 5PM. They did not disclose this on the time of the booking. We asked if we can sit down inside as the weather was a little cold, the reply from the waitress was colder than the weather and told us no, she did not give reason why. They had extremely limited options to order for $75, one soft drink, one entree and one main course, only 4 options for vegetarian. 2 in entree and 2 in mains, pastas ordered were horrendous, we did not finish and left. Felt ripped off and cheated, only if they have disclosed the set menu and displayed the menu at the time of booking, we would have never booked. Ruined Valentines dinner.

Service was poor. Nice venue but we had to repair a wobbly table (server was absolutely no use). Food was over priced given the experience.

Pumpkin & Halloumi salad - Pumpkin was overcooked and very mushy. Would not recommend this dish. Steak sandwich (pulled beef) - No tomato, beetroot, pesto, mustard or tomato ketchup. Would not recommend this dish Dessert, The secret garden, was very nice however did not have any strawberry coulis. Would have this dessert again

Rather average food and almost less than average service. Admittedly a very wet evening

We came back to the Vintage Secret Garden after a great experience in winter. It’s a shame that this time the wonderful food was spoiled by the lacklustre and disinterested wait staff who kept walking past our table without paying us any attention. And also, after my mother complained that there was a fly in her glass of wine (and there were quite a few flies around our table by the time we left) and asked for a replacement, we found that we were charged for two glasses of wine.

the service was excellent and catered well to our 8 person group of various ages and dietary restrictions.

Food was satisfactory. Unfortunately the food service took about an hour to arrive at our table. The French toast arrived about 40 minutes before our savoury meals and the icecream melted in the heat so we couldn’t eat that.

The food was amazing but the service could be better.

Food was ok, services slow and not sure I would go again

I’ve been this place multiple times and also bring different friends here over years. But today I was there with another group of friends but the service was bad, the waiter and waitress were not in a good manner and also we been waiting the food for 50 minutes, even the coffee took 40 minutes to our table. Very disappointed with today’s experience! Probably will not choose this place anymore!

I had requested a table outside for 9 people. when I got there they said they do not have a table ready you can go inside. It took a while waiting and a lot of negotiation to get a table outside for us. The excuse was that we cannot accommodate seating preference on the weekends. So what does booking in advance mean!!!

Filthy dirty menu and we do not eat together (3 people) due to slow service all meals came out separately ...very disappointing for a birthday celebration

Meal itself was great but service was slow basically due to understaffing. 2 waitstaff for the whole front end. My wife tells me it’s always the same.

Very nice venue, plenty of choices to choose from and the food was delicious. Price was slightly expensive but accounted for by the portion.

Day was nice, venue itself is good. 45min wait for very average, overpriced food and it wasn’t even that busy. Seems to be the norm looking at other reviews.

Smoothies and milkshake are Overpriced for size glass. Paid an extra $3 for a thick shake and it was just like a milkshake. Soup only small serve

Place is absolutely beautiful. However sadly not very well run. We asked to be moved because one of our two tables was broken (kept tipping up when lent on) they told us they were going to throw it out. Two seconds later another family were shown to said table. Then the food was not brought out at the same time 2 kids dishes came out about 5 mins later another kids dish then another 5 mins mine then another 5 mins my friends. Half way through the main course we realised the ordering/bringing out food was taking a long time so we ordered desert. It took around 30 mins then for them to bring the desert by which time the kids were totally over it and had had enough. Then because we moved tables our bill came up along with the people who had been seated at our original table so we had to go through again to say what was ours and what wasn't. I hope it was a one off and a bad day as it could be an amazing place especially with how beautiful it is

Not sure if they have new owners, but the service was so bad, waited for 40mins for a coffee that was terrible and very few patrons to serve, a lot of untrained staff just walking around talking….Will not be returning

The food tasted great. However it was warm and not hot. The venue looked great. BUT… it was a cold wet night and not one heater was on in the venue. It was freezing and uncomfortable. Fireplace wasn’t on either. For a winters wet night completely missed the mark. Dining experience was not great as we couldn’t wait to finish and leave to get warm.u

I’ve been here before, used to be very good. The service is not so great now. We had a small group and the food came at different times, so that some had finished eating before other’s meals came. Also took ages for the coffees and tea to be served. The place was freezing, It’s the middle of winter and they didn’t have heating, and the doors were kept open. When we told them how cold it was, they offered to bring a heater, but didn’t. They did, however give my elderly parents blankets. This is the 2nd time we found the service to be ordinary, shame as the venue is lovely, but it’s lost its spark.

The venue is great and ticks all the boxes. Our only complaint was the wait time for food. We had to wait 1hr 20 mins just for a pizza and pasta. Although when the food arrived it wasn’t missing quality.

If I could give a worse than terrible review, trust me, I would.

Arrived for breakfast, staff not welcoming, our hot breakfast came out cold.

We specifically came for the wood fire pizza, but the oven was not in operation. It would have been helpful to have some notice in advance

The food was great but a little pricey. Service excellent. However your surcharges will probably keep us from coming back. They were ridiculous.

We were unfortunately disappointed with our recent visit. While the atmosphere was nice, the service was very slow—we waited far too long for both our food and drinks. It took away from the overall dining experience and we hope the restaurant can improve on this in the future.

The whole experience was terrible, the food options were limited and not up to standard and disappointing for a special Mothers Day occasion the Greek Plate was dry and meat was overcooked, the chicken was also dry and the sauce was heavy… a total rip off for what we paid. I will never go back and I’ll make sure I tell 200 people of how poor our expert was and to never go to your establishment

Unbelievably horrific experience - served raw chicken, and one meal did not come out at all. Tried to convince us the pink chicken meat was cooked, true or not, the attitude from the waiter was completely unwarranted and enough to make us immediately get out of our seats and leave. A complete shame as we’ve generally had great experiences here, but this instance is enough for me and my family to never visit here again nor host any of our family and friends’ events in the future.
