Amazing food - just a shame they’re not around any more 😢

What a great place with amazing food. We turned up on a night when they weren’t planning on having table service due to it being a public holiday but welcomed us like family. The food was fresh and pleasing to the eye and palate and every dish left us wanting more. We were regular customers back when this place was Slippery Jacks and we will be back bringing more friends to experience Ube.

Excellent food, was super fresh and tasty. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Everything about this restaurant is good. My only request would be a more extensive red wine selection.

Average - food took a Long time and came out at different times.

Good staff. Food excellent. Only concern was my main came 10 minutes before my partners.

We did not stay and eat, we walked out in disgust. We were never seated by a waitress, we were pointed toward a table and told sit there. We had to move the table ourselves as it was too tightly squashed between two other tables. After that we were never offered a drink and never explained about the set menu, we were just left with no waitress. I will never return and do not recommend to anyone

Had a $100 gift voucher for this restaurant as a gift. The voucher was current but the restaurant said it was invalid because new owners had bought the business. Absolute disgrace. $100 down the drain.

Considering very few tables the service was very average. The meals are over priced and have definitely been compromised since our last visit.

Food and service was great until the end when we asked to take away our pumpkin and tofu curry and the waiter threw it in the bin. Was quite disappointed as we only ate a bit of it because we were full. Waiter didn’t apologise or even offer a discount.

This was our second visit. The first time service was very slow but the food was good. So we decided to give it another go and if service had not picked up then we wouldn't bother going again. We were very pleasantly surprised to see that service had indeed improved, and as a bonus there was live music! He was very good to listen to. The food was even better than the first time around too.

Food was fantastic but service was lacking. We had to call waiters over to order and then drinks, food was a little slow and slow to clear plates.

Food was fantastic and good variety. We ordered a number of the small plates which were all lovely, especially the bao buns. Service was friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

6 of us went and a great meal. The waitress was lovely and her service was great. Food very yummy!

This was our third time at Ube and unfortunately it wasn’t up to standard. While the food was good, I feel the service let it down. Even though we have been before, I think the staff still should let you know what dishes they are bringing out. The dishes all came out at once as well and food went cold.

Only downfall was one of the dishes we wanted to order was unavailable.

Tasty small dishes, though overpriced. Good value on the small dishes compared to bland and very underwhelming main meal of barramundi and soba noodles in a watery broth.

Servings very small. Nearly $40 for a share plate of pork belly with 6 small pieces of soft chewy pork. Food took forever to come out. Dishes filled with cabbage salad.

Lovely staff, very welcoming the moment we walked in the door. Food was delicious! Small menu but definitely something for everyone on there! The banana roti was my favourite!

Food was late in coming out , however staff were great and took a bottle of wine off the bill
