Vibrante achieves something on which other Italian restaurants in Melbourne often miss the mark – it manages to be both rustic and contemporary, both refined and homely. The service is unobtrusive but attentive, and the setting is elegant but sociable. This rare balance means Vibrante can suit any occasion, from engagement dinners to social sport functions to business meetings. Traditional Italian techniques and dishes are taken as inspiration, but Vibrante’s menu is injected with a lot of contemporary creativity, often guided by the seasonal availability of fresh, local Australian products. The menu covers healthy, hearty meals (the braised lamb risotto is hard to resist), light, refreshing fare (we recommend the salad of pears, rucola, strawberries and parmesan), gourmet pizzas, antipasti, desserts and a great wine selection. Found at the corner of Anderson and James streets, Vibrante is very handily located for anybody in Templestowe.
Food delicious and the service was very friendly. Great atmosphere.
Atmosphere was vibrant - restaurant was busy, but prompt service. I had the eggplant stack for entree and beef ragu for main. Generous size servings, and both meals were delicious. Very happy with my meal choices.
A splendid birthday lunch with my wife and a close friend, topped off with a sparkler on my beautiful Sticky Date Pudding with caramel sauce!
Pork belly fantastic. Staff and management friendly and service first class. Great restaurant. Sweets are delicious and coffee is excellent.. highly recommend for a quiet lunch or dinner
The staff at Vibrante were friendly and attentive. When we asked to be moved from close to the entrance, they were very obliging and understanding. Our party of 5 enjoyed the main courses we had ordered, especially the Pork ribs which were tasty and delicious, the Potted Pie's pastry was flaky and the vegetables were cooked just right. The sticky date pudding was enjoyed by all. Will definitely return soon.
Have been coming to Vibrante for years.Last night we had dips and arancini balls for entree, the seared Tuna and prawn salad ( special ) Veal and Lamb Shanks for mains. The food was fantastic, and the staff and service are excellent.Would highly recommended this place.
I had a lovely lunch with a girlfriend at Vibrante. I had the gnocchi, which was delicious. My friend went straight to dessert and had sticky date pudding. She loved it, and the sauce was rich which added to the enjoyment. Nice and warm and attentive staff too.
I really enjoyed the meal. There were 3 issues. First on the web site there was no provision for comments like "Could I have a quiet table" and when mentioned I was told could ring. But what's the point of the web site if I also have to ring. I could ring and not use the web site at all. Second the wine list was very limited because there were mainly bottle prices and for reds for example only 3 were glasses and bottles. I suppose so people will pay for a $40+ bottle of wine. Furthermore, the nice reds were bottle only. Finally, the waitress was inexperienced and needed training - not her fault but a management problem.
Arranged a lunch for 6 for a pre Christmas "break up" and from the easy online booking service to the delicious main course and desserts, a great time was had by all. Highly recommended, Vibrante is great value in all aspects.
Good 'traditional' food - nothing cutting edge or new fad. Upstairs dining area lacks a bit of atmosphere, and the staff are efficient but lack 'personality'. Whilst you don't want them interrupting or carrying on long conversations, they do need to be able to look you in the eye and acknowledge your existence rather than looking around for the next table to attend while taking your order. But that aside I recommend the venue
