The building is in a prime location for great views of the ocean, however as it's not an open plan layout, not all sections have this. Very friendly service, food was nice and generous in serving size. Just a little noisy - but still thoroughly enjoyable.

Had been a couple of years back and was thoroughly disappointing, i don't know if it has changed hands sine then but now it is amazing.

They were racist, rude and the customer service was the worst I have ever had. I will never go back there and I be reporting them. I am absolutely disgusted with their behaviour. Don't go there. Go to Zapata on Melbourne street, better customer service.

This restaurant is amazing - that's why we always come back. As always, the service was awesome; the ambience was very pleasant; the food was excellent (and a good serving too); and honestly - we thought it would've been dearer The value for money was great. Even if you don't love Mexican food, give this place a try!

Love this place, we nearly always sit outside and book for an earlier dinner as I love watching the sunset. Also come for lunch on a Friday or weekend. Food is always good and fresh, don’t fil up too much, leave room for dessert, Sopapilla is our fave.

Myself and friends always have a great experience at Viva, the food is absolutely consistent and perfect every dine, staff are always on the ball and keeping an eye open for cleanliness and customer service, the vibe is always warm and friendly, fun time!

I had booked Viva Cantina as it was in the Entertainment book. However upon trying to find it on my digital membership when paying, i could not find it anymore and was told by the waiter that they had removed themselves... yet was still available in the book. I dont think it is very fair that the people who purchased a book are still able to use the voucher, yet i cant on my digital membership....especially since it had recently been in there! However, the food was delicious. I had the beef fajitas and my partner had the nachos and were both very satisfied.

Don’t book online through this medium - booking wasn’t sent to restaurant - no table reserved -luckily friendly accommodating staff with full restaurant accommodated our group of 6. This was a very special night with overseas family visiting. Evening could have been ruined by this booking company. Not impressed

We were originally booked to sit inside as there was 6 in our party, but when we arrived the air conditioning wasn't working and it was a very warm afternoon so they happily sat us outside, Service was fast and friendly and the nachos were yum.

A wonderful old house on the hill with a Mexican vibe. We had been about 6 months ago as we are not locals but we enjoyed it so much so t.his time took my partners son who missed out last time. The meal was wonderful with a starter of mixed dips with my favourite corn chips as being gluten free it's nice to be able to enjoy a meal without the worry 'will I be ok tomorrow'. I am only sensitive to gluten so not sure about if you were ceoliac. For mains my partner had the pork ribs which were moist and pulled apart, So delicious they disappeared before I was able to have a taste. His son ordered the beef tacos. A huge serve but he managed to eat it all and I had the changmani which was like a big rolled chicken pie and very nice with a fresh salad and rice to was so light. For drinks the boys ordered the special of 4 beers in bucket for $20 and I had the classic margarita and another with mildori Yum.. Overall great dinner out, prices reasonable and a wonderful view overlooking the beach and Semaphore's shoreline. A must for a good meal

Great cocktail and drinks selection, amazing venue with stunning summers view and not long wait times getting food given how busy they were. Best thing was the prompt and polite service. Nachos were also 10/10!
