Plenty of space, plenty on the menu. Food was good but could do with an 'oomph' and fried dumplings weren't available for some unknown reason.
Great food. Excellent service. Well priced. Lovely atmosphere. Tables are too high and chairs are too low but awesome apart from that! Love it there.
Busy place with decent food served fast. The buns and dumplings are good and you can watch them being made in the shop window. Chicken and black bean was not very tasty and the meat was stringy. Very reasonable prices. A bit noisy and service a bit lackluster. Would go again.
We'd happily return again and again. We love the enormous variety, esp the traditional dumplings! So glad they have non meat versions with the mixed vegetable option. It's the best Vegetable version I've ever tasted.
The food is always delicious, the range of northern and southern cuisine is fantastic, the service fast and efficient. Fri and Sat nights are very busy so best to book an early dinner. One of the owners is usually there and will happily greet people. A jug of cold water and cups quickly follow. Very considerate bringing out bright colourful plastic cups, bowls and cutlery for kids.
Good environment. Nice food and service. Reasonable price. An excellent experience. Can get a discount if you make order before 6 and pay by cash.
The Foods are Too oily. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Very comprehensive menu and excellent food. Very limited wine list but not over-priced like most others. Service is hap-hazard and very amateurish, concentrating on clearing tables rather than customers' needs. It's a very noisy venue because the acoustics of the room are dreadful. I could not converse with my wife while we were sitting opposite each other. Everyone screams to be heard when the place is full, especially the 20-something females with high voices. Experience the food, but it's definitely not the place for a romantic night out.
Very fresh food with lots of flavour with a combo of modern and traditional chinese dishes! Am a return visitor and will keep returning! Thanks
Nice restaurant in a hip part of town. Excellent food, friendly staff. My wife and I enjoyed the food. Would come back again if we are in town
Really good food and service. We had a selection of dumplings, duck pancakes, and salted squid. Food was served in really good sizes for Canberra standard. Well worth the experience.
Great food and service. The mini pork buns were divine.
The food was great and came out quite quickly. The waiter was very helpful in giving suggestions for a large group. Good place to go for a social outing with friends!
The food was fast to order and Fast to arrive even though the place was full. Lots of two seater tables so quick turn around if need be. The food was great!
The service was very good and the menu extensive. We enjoyed the meal. Although the skin on some of the dumplings was thicker than we would like the flavours were good.
Was very impressed with the food and the service provided. Would highly recommend trying this place. Make sure to book as it is quiet busy.
Dumplings were not up to standard. Dry and lacked flavor. Restaurant was not warm. Sat under a draft from what I assumed was air conditioning. Not warm enough when cold outside.
Good food, and quick service. My only gripe was that the tables are just slightly too tall for the chairs, otherwise it was great :)
Food was good, quick and portions were sizable. Only downside was the thickener used in the stir fry hadn't dissolved properly so there were lumps of it through the vege stir fry.
need more waiter/waitress to meet the customer demands. Service was poor, food came out one dish at a time, rice came out near the end and by that time all other dishes went cold.
Always a fabulous experience at Yat Bun Tong. Food is exceptional. Plus they've got a small private room for groups. Staff are lovely & friendly too.
Snappy service and great food at a very reasonable price. It's a bit noisy and bustling but that's part of the fun! A good place to catch up with friends.
Absolutely amazing dumplings!!! :) :) :) The best dumplings I have ever tasted and lovely service too. I highly recommend you visit Yat Bun Tong!
Me and my girlfriend had a great dinner here. Food was amazing, service was good and it all came at a good price. I would recommend
Great food and service. Staff are lovely. Shanghai pork buns, dumplings, chili beef, hot pot & shantung chicken are superb. Highly recommend this great restaurant.
We would have ordered dessert but the waitress didn't come back and check if we wanted anything else. Experience could be improved with a little better customer service.
The food is delicious, however the restaurant is quite noisy. This hasn't stopped me from going back though! Bookings are recommended as it can get very busy.
Great little bustling restaurant in the heart of Braddon. Efficient and friendly service from the moment we arrived. Loved the wide selection on the menu - not just dumplings! Food arrived really quickly and was hot and delicious. Definitely on my list of places to revisit.
Great and yummy rood. Good and attentive service. Friendly staff. Overall a good experience. Will definitely come back and bring more friends next time. Convenient location. Can be a bit noisy.
The service was great and the food was absolutely beautiful and quick to arrive. The atmosphere was a bit loud but other than that all good!
The food was authentic and delicious. The dumplings and other dishes came out piping hot, so they were very freshly cooked. The range of food choices made the dinner a satisfying affair.
Fantastic range of everything! Delicious prawn dumplings, mixed vegetable pan fried dumplings and crispy salt and pepper squid and tofu, peppery hot and sour soup. The chef/owner offered access to undercover parking by ringing the restaurant number the next time we visited. Due to it being peak dining time at 7pm, service was a bit slow. Other than that, everything else could not be faulted. We are heading back there again this week.
This is the second time that we went to this restaurant. We all like the delicious food. And the staff there were friendly and nice.
Fantastic food, quick service and great company. The staff are attentive and friendly. Best duck San chow bow around town and the steamed chicken dumplings I will drive across town for. Thanks for a great night.
Nice vibe and quick service but the food and staff were hit and miss. We had to ask for an ice bucket for our wine a couple of times and while half our dishes were great and other half were so-so and a bit bland.
Consistently fantastic food. Absolutely love eating here. Service could be better - it's a bit hard to catch anyone's eye - but other than that, one of my favourites. Controversial, but it possibly rivals Dickson Dumpling House for the best dumplings in canberra. Highly recommend fried vegetable dumplings, salt and pepper tofu, omelettes, and pork won tons in chilli oil.
I've had dinner here multiple times and never been disappointed. Always tried a wide range of dishes but love the fish hot pot, dumplings and duck pancakes
This was the 3rd time I have been there and was dissapointed with the service and food. My first experience was great compared to last time.
Their signature dumplings were oh so fabulous! Serving sizes were generous. Staff were friendly and smiling. Definitely worth a visit, we'll be back soon! Yum!
It was ok . Nothing spectacular about the food. Price is allright. Good customer service. The restaurant is quite warm because they open the front doir.
Great food with a bustling atmosphere on a Friday night. The staff were pleasant, helpful without being intrusive. We enjoyed it but after the meal moved on somewhere quieter so we could hear each other
Good service and great food. Probably the best dumpling place in Canberra. Our group of 10 were seated in their small function room, which was appreciated.
Outstanding food. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Our favourite Chinese restaurant in Canberra now. Best dumplings by far. Definitely recommend, we'll be back for sure.
Food was wonderful... The thing I don't like is 2% surcharge for Visa card... The customer service was really good ... We had a good time
Nice food, but the service could improve. The dumplings were pretty darn good; however, everthing came out at different times and one person at our table fid not get their order until the rest of us had nearly finished.
Food was excellent, service good. Atmosphere was great with an almost full house. Car parking at rear was appreciated on a cold, wet day. Prices were very reasonable. Overall a really good experience.
Great food at a good price. I've only been here twice so far but excellent service both times. The dishes are just superb! Give it a try.
yat bun tong had good prices and the food was delicious. the restaurant was nice and clean. I would definitely go again out of 10.
Excellent experience. Not much room as it was very crowded on a Saturday evening and quite noisy too. As a big group of 10 it was hard tomhave a conversation, but the service was great and very friendly. Amazing food that was consistantly good. Very good portion for a good price. We will definitly be back again and again!
Our booked table wasn't ready when we arrived, but staff were very helpful. The restaurant was very busy, being a Friday night. Friendly staff and good food.
