About Zensation Tea House

Down Bourke Street in Redfern, Zensation Tea House is a true gem. Reminiscent of a 1920s Chinese tea house, the cafe harkens back to simpler times when folks met up over a pot of tea to chat over anything and everything. You can do the same thing at Zensation Tea House, where it’s easy to let your troubles fade away into the background as you sip a fragrant cup of tea, listen to relaxing music on their vinyl record player, and smell the wafting aroma of sandalwood drifting throughout the premises. The tea here is the best in Sydney, with many organic varieties and all-natural blends to choose from. Stop in for a truly enchanting experience – book ahead of time to secure a table at this popular tea house.

Hot Drinks

Milky Oolong Taiwan

One of the most ethereal and unforgettable of our tea. The scent is creamy and buttery while the palette is light with peach, gardenia and hints of coconut
A$10.00

Super Oolong Taiwan

A Oolong from the famous Alishan mountain region. A full leaf tea grown in ideal cold, high altitude climate with a honey light colour and flavour that is floral with a lingering sweet aftertaste

Oriental Beauty Oolong

The leaves produce a honey whiskey coloured infusion that is subtly fruity with a calm and slightly baked aroma. The secret to this tea lies in the small native insect that bite the tea leaves while on the bushel. The leaves therefore begin oxidising while still on the tea plant and exhibit a natural sweetness

Excellent!!!!! First class service, exquisite tea and food, and relaxing atmosphere with beautiful music. Raymond, his partner and daughter gave generously of their time to make Sylvia and myself feel completely at home in their traditional Chinese teahouse. We will definitely be back and bring along some friends as well!!!!

The best thing about the tea house was the wonderful calm atmosphere. The dumplings and tea were also lovely - We had a milky oolong tea.

This place is lovely and special. The tea is incredible, service is attentive, and dim sum is yummy. Oh and there's a cute little dog too.
