The celebrated Ghan camel caravaners of 19th-century Australia would have gone days at a time between proper meals in the Outback – so this popular Afghan restaurant in Dee Why is making up for it by lavishing you by hardly letting you go one course without landing upon another amazing feast. Every stage of the dining experience at A Taste Of Ghan is treated as important, from their pristine table settings and warm decor to the inviting, dainty samosas to start your meal and the indulgent saffron ice cream to finish it. In between comes a feast fit for several kings, covering spice-laden South Asian and Middle Eastern favourites as well as unique Afghan tastes to showcase Afghanistan’s historical centrality between east and west at the heart of the Silk Road. Just a few blocks back from the beach right on Pittwater Road, Dee Why’s main drag, A Taste of Ghan is very hard to beat for value, atmosphere and quality in all of North Sydney.
Easy to find on main road. When we arrived we were looked after with great table service, the appearance was of old country and now there new home. The food was fabulous.
Great ambiance, very prompt and polite service, nice and good portion food at a very reasonable price...definitely will come back here and recommend for others to visit!
Excellent food, lovely table ware, and charming service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and we look forward to our next visit very soon.
