Wonderful North Indian food that does not disappoint time and time again.
Nice food and atmosphere. We will be back again to this restaurant
Very good food must try this place. Very amazing staff
The eatery greeted us warmly, and the ambiance was pleasantly calm. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us, and their service was truly commendable. Our order included a delightful array of dishes: Bhindi Masala, Vindaloo Curry with lamb, Plain Naan, Punjabi Butter Chicken, and Saffron Rice. Each dish was a flavorful delight, and the portions were satisfyingly generous—all at reasonable prices. Despite not being Indian patrons, the waitress make sure about our spice preferences, whether we leaned toward Indian spiciness or the Aussie palette. This thoughtful touch ensured our comfort with the level of heat. Overall, the dining experience left us with a positive impression, and we're eager to return for another delightful meal.
We confidently booked Aangan for our house guests from England. We have always had a fabulous meal at Aangan. It was far from satisfactory this time. The waitress was distracted....and of little help when asked about dishes to cater for us all. We Drinks were slow to come .....service lacking. We ended up with a Tandoori chicken which was dry and tastless. The Paneer was good. The rest of the meal was so unappealing. We were embarrassed. We won't be back.
amazing Ambience and great service. best Indian restaurant in Australia
Good food and very generous serving portions. Definitely one of the best tasting Indian restaurants.
Best Indian in the west! Great place to have an amazing family dinner
Great tasty food and very polite staff! Good value too!!
We always love to come there, however veg manchurian was very sweet and sour, not as usual.
Great service , always have a great meal at Aangan
The food was tasty and awesome. Ambience and service was good.
Great night out. Food was good as always. Value for money
Delicious meal for all the family, good service. Best Indian in West Footscray.
Always a favourite! Love the butter chicken and the biryani
I went here for lunch with a group of friends from a recommendation from a friend who said it’s one of the best Indian restaurant in Melbourne. We were not disappointed. We love it! Chicken Tikka, Chicken Tandoori, fried fish, butter chicken, garlic naan and mango lassi were delicious. We left feeling very full. I would go back and recommend to others.
The restaurant looks pretty dated, updation a must. Otherwise the food and people working there are extraordinary. Would not hesitate to visit again.
Overall it was a good experience though it was a long wait otherwise would have been a great mother’s day experience
Busy and good food. Waited a little but not bD.
It is always awesome in angan. We had a good time.
The Food was good and service was good too. 👍
Not bad. Staff didn’t actually care to give us the cutlery and failed to take the order
Worth regular visit n worth recommending to friends to enjoy
Great food considering how busy it was. Service was quick.
The food was excellent and the wine well priced making our visit to Aangan really enjoyable.
Hard working staff, who managed a very busy restaurant very well. Music a bit loud, partially due to speaker above our head. Definitely be back and recommend to others.
Excellent food, friendly and attentive staff, well priced for the quality. We keep coming back!!
Very tasty food and good service. Will go back there.
delicious food especially the andra fish is a must try!
Food is salty and more unnecessary (raw) spices than what one would expect in a premium restaurant in India. Indian gourmet food can be spicy but it’s more about subtleties if flavours of spices. Spices are not chilly hot but much more. I will call it average food a bit pricy
Food is good and healthy. Little bit noisy but overall recommended to everyone.
The best Indian I've ever had! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Been here many times and the food never disappoints, the service is a bit hit and miss at times especially true of this reservation. The decor and ambience leaves a lot to be desired and it’s far from fancy but the food is tasty and I would recommend to anyone!
The food and ambience is good. Service is quick and friendly. Price is reasonable Toilets can be neater. Bookings need to be made as the place can be full. .
The service is good. Food is delicious and quality of food is good. It is top Indian standard restaurant and I recommend it to everyone.
Love this place!!! Always have, always will. The food and service is consistently great. We have been going there since it opened. What more can I say.
Absolutley LOVE Aangan West footscray. Food is seriously delicious and on point every single time we visit. We cannot fault Aangan and just wish they were closer to where we live, so we could eat there more often !
The food was alright but the service was terrible. We booked a table for 5 at 7:30pm, however even though we had reserved a table we were made to wait over 20minutes. And when we finally got a table we were seated at a table that only sat 4 people. The fifth person has to sit on a chair in the aisle near the entrance when there was not enough room. Everytime someone walked passed they knocked into the person in the aisle and it was not a pleasant experience at all. There was lots of people trying to squeeze past as it was the entrance and staff were trying to get in and out. We were not happy. If there was no room and tables available due to the dinner rush they should not have made the reservation and told us upfront that there was no capacity, that way we could have gone somewhere else or come another day. Very disappointing.
Whilst the food is good, the service is terrible. When we arrived they didn't know about our reservation, so we had to wait for a table to be found for us. After reviewing the menus & deciding what we wanted to order we waited a long time without anyone coming to take our order. We finally asked a waiter to take our order. Our entree came fairly quickly but we were asked whether we also wanted our main course at the same time, which we declined. They didn't seem to understand the meaning of an entree & decided to cook all the dishes at the same time. As a general point we consider that the decor of the restaurant needs refreshing. It appears that it hasn't been decorated for a long time and the appearance is poor. On leaving the restaurant we advised the staff that we were not satisfied with the service. They were upset with this - what appeared to be the manager followed us out and we had a discussion with her explaining the reasons why we weren't satisfied. We won't return.
Even with pre booking, we still had to wait in normal queue. The people after us got first just because they knew them. Food was good but expensive compared to quantity. Staff service for taking order and serving food was excellent, they were just fabulous in terms of suggestions and advice on what we should try.
