Lovely meal and friendly service. Booking online was handy too! We will definitely go back again. Wine selection interesting and we really enjoyed the house pear bread.

Lovely relaxing restaurant with excellent food and friendly service. For people with gluten intolerance the menu is well catered for you. Only reason I didn't give it a 6 was because I prefer my root vegetables and the apple and rhubarb on the the "tatin" to be cooked a little softer. Highly recommended.

lovely lunch- great peaceful and comfortable location with friendly staff. It's homely and old school but with great technique and pleasant food. Would appeal to many who want great food without flippery and that they can understand and rely on.

We could not fault our experience at Au Pear. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The menu was well varied for all tastes in our group. The star of the show was the food which was well presented with amazing tastes. Everyone in our group commented on how delicious their meals were. My pistacchio halva with salted caramel ice cream and sour cherries dessert was to die for. We had spoken to other patrons at another table who were also gushing about their dishes.

An amazing setting, excellent service with a charming and delightful waitress. The menu was very limited, and a tad overpriced. A vineyard platter - in the entree section - contained grilled chorizo - 4 small slices, 4 tasty olives, 2 cherry tomatoes, 4 small pieces of fetta, dukkah with olive oil and red wine in the oil for dipping delicious warm bread, herbed labne (homemade yoghurt, 1 tblspn) and grilled vegetables. The plate was tasty and delicious, but quite small. I certainly could not complain about the quality and freshness of it, but the price was $36 - which was VERY overpriced for what you received. (compared with, say, The Salopian Inn - just up the road). Apart from the prices, and limited mains menu, everything else was superb.

Excellent value for money on the shared 4 course menu. Would recommend to others no problem. Beautifully cooked also and a nice rustic venue in decor looking out onto the Vineyard.

Excellent friendly service, exciting food, nice location and very comprehensive selection of wine. Over all a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. The complementary and unexpected potato dish with our mains was a very nice touch. Would recommend highly to friends.

We loved this place the first time we went here - there was definitely something special about the food and the atmosphere. A year later, we took the opportunity of having another lunch on our way South, and it was even better than the first time. So many delicious options on the menu, lots of gluten-free options. The food really is exceptional - this is one of my favourite SA restaurants. Highly recommended.

We had a 1.30 booking and our main course was served just before 3 p.m. We had a small shared platter before thank goodness. The fish was well cooked but unfortunately three of our party of six chose the kangaroo and it was over cooked and very tough indicating that it had been badly cooked and not rested. This was disappointing as we had taken interstate visitors to show off the region.

My husband, friends and I really enjoyed our meal before "The Day on the Green". We chose the $60 3 course meal and breads which were yummy. Next time, we would omit the breads as the main course was very filling. We waited a long time for our affogato desserts (which were a bit short on icecream), and had to cancel our coffee as it did not arrive by the time we needed to leave.

Lovely food, generous portion sizes and beautiful setting. Using the Entertainment card made it affordable and extremely worthwhile. The 3 course deal was fantastic. Would definitely have lunch here again.

As always Au Pear gives wonderful service and the food is prepared and presented with love, it is obvious that all staff members are well led by Muff and Sam and the setting is lovely, well worth a visit!

The food was interesting. Had the tasting menu which featured the seafood platter and shared main (beef fillets, lamb leg brick, and twice cooked pork belly). The absolute cherry was the dessert. Only issue is mains were slow to serve after entrees.

Excellent service and delicious food and an interesting regional wine list. Muff was a perfect host and Samanthi was warm, attentive and unobtrusive with her service. A great place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you.
