Amazing night out! They catered for all the different requirements on our table and were just awesome all night. It’s certainly a birthday dinner that won’t be forgotten.

Food was outstanding. Customer service to be commended. Excellent attention to detail. Lovely ambience in the restaurant. Our waiter was attentive, and timing of food delivered to the table was just right. Thank you for another lovely evening. Much appreciated.

Good food but I don’t understand the sense of making a request if it is going to be ignored. Although we requested a quiet table and this could easily have been accommodated the staff really made no effort. The staff are pleasant but unfortunately young and inexperienced. This is not a cheap restaurant, I think they need to lift their game.

It was a very pleasant experience with yummy food & excellent service. My favourite dishes were the dried fried beef and Sichuan tea smoke duck (if the lotus bun was served a little warmer it will be perfect!).

Overall it was a Great experience. The food was perfect and service was great. I would reccommend the peking duck and the chilli pork dumplings.

Great food great service what else can I say. Staff friendly and attentive we will definitely be going back again and again. We were there for my mother’s 80th Birthday and trust me she is hard to please

Great food, excellent service. Highly recommend the Peking Duck and Sichuan chili prawns. Good place for a lunch with friends or colleagues over a couple of hours.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Bamboo House. Staff were prompt and efficient. We were entertaining friends from Perth WA and they enjoyed the meal selection and reasonable prices also.

Excellent service, helpful advice on what to choose, delicious food, refreshing tea - what more could you want! Even helped with finding a taxi, very friendly staff.

The restaurant is at the top end of Chinatown. Away from the rifraf. A nice part of town. The food was very tasty and very fresh. The staff very attentive and very hospitable & professional. However, the only downside was that food was very slow in coming and there were no fortune cookies to end our meal with which we always have a good laugh over. Would still go back though.

Get the Peking duck! Really yummy and used the other half of the duck for san choy bao and crispy noodles. Service was also fantastic.

This restaurant is amazing! The food and service was super authentic. The fish in spring onion and ginger was definitely a favourte. Hands down will be back again.

Excellent service, quite fast during lunch time which is good for business diners. Duck is the highlight of our reason for dining here, we also love that the food is portion served to us at the table. Wine list is fantastic with great choices at the top end.

Outstanding Chinese restaurant with class. White table cloths, great service, warm towels between courses and of course great food! Highly recommended. The noodles are spectacular.

Lovely birthday meal with my son. Mermaid's tresses was a treat, delicious. Dumplings were fresh, tasty and enjoyable. Satay beef went down a treat with the birthday boy.

Good food and good service. But not cheap. It was our second dinner there and we will go again presumably. Peking duck was a good entree shared between five of us.

Had a fabulous night. The service was excellent and the food very good indeed. 2 people in the group had dietary requirements and these were accommodated really well. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night.

Had the Peking duck and it was excellent. Whole duck gave 16 pancakes. Venue is very pleasant though can get noisy. Service is good with that typical asian style.

Great service, friendly staff and good food. Love the duck dishes. The restaurant was so attentive, one of our guest was celebrating a special birthday so they brought a little cake and sang happy birthday to her. Highly recommend.

Amazing food, great service. A wonderful experience for the whole family. We ordered the Peking duck, sesame puffs, pot stickers and the pan fried noodles. All were very delicious, highly recommend the sesame puffs.

An enjoyable meal with good service. The oyster and scallop special as an entrée was extremely good and the tea-smoked duck was as tasty as usual.

Large selection of excellent food and a good wine list. Food service aided by helpful suggestion was prompt. The most impressive thing was the clean presentation of the table and the washrooms.

After many years, I still enjoy their excellent food, and friendly atmosphere. Considering, the quality, I think competitive prices too. The wine list is well thought out, and comprehensive.

Fantastic food with service to match, recommend the duck. we also had the eye fillet with the housemade BBQ sauce which you can cut with a spoon = melt in your mouth :)

We have now found our replacement for the old Empress of China. Presentation excellent, food excellent, staff excellent. We will be backmany,many times in future.

Brilliant food. Packed out on a noisy Friday evening. Attentive and pleasant staff. I first started going to Bamboo House in the 1970s. Never disappointed.

This long-standing and well -regarded restaurant was my pick for taking an elderly lady to lunch. I booked on line and asked for quiet corner. On arrival, I again asked if our allotted table was a quiet one - the staff seemed non-committal. So at first it was ok and then the restaurant filled up - mainly with men, and it became very difficult to hear our friend with her soft voice. She was wearing hearing aids ...although she said it was all ok, I know they must have just amplified everything. In defence of the restaurant - it does have cloth on tables, and it does have carpet - which makes it better than most. But today the noise transcended all that, not helped by the low ceiling and large areas of glass. There were other areas where we could have been placed - and I should have insisted on that. The very junior staff were efficient, but not attentive to our comfort, and we had to chase them for our needs. They certainly did not have the training or experience to perceive our problem. The food was of good quality and we enjoyed that. Overall - I will not be going there again if it is my decision.

Great location in China Town. Seems to be very popular. Nearly all booked on the normal weekdays. Yummy food, nice service, a little bit pricey. Overall quite good experience.

This was my second visit to the Bamboo House Restaurant, I found it to be most welcoming, the service was excellent, even though they were extremely busy. The food was amazing with many many choices, and served with adequate time to enjoy each course. I absolutely love the way the waiters memorise your order and bring it to you exactly how you asked. Wine was beautiful and they made sure glass was never empty. The staff were very friendly and explained the various dishes well. Pricing was very good, Will definately be going back.

Great food as always and amazing service, waiter was really helpful in giving recommendations and also accommodating our changes as my wife was allergic to some foods

Always the best experience and Peking duck disappoints, a bit too noisy on busy night but that never stops us from going back as the food is amazing
