Bringing some French charm to Gordon’s Pacific Highway, Bistro De Philippe offers gourmet quality French, specialising in regional dishes from Alsace and Provence. Combining quaint decor with a casual vibe, this charming bistro-style restaurant provides the perfect setting whether its for a relaxed lunch or a romantic date. Begin with some snails in shells with butter, garlic, parsley and shallots, or the less adventurous but equally as delicious pork belly. Then move on to another quintessentially French classic like the bouillabaisse Marseillaise (a seafood broth) or the winey duck (confit duck leg served with caramelised apples, red wine-braised cabbage, carrot purée and porcini jus), rounded off with some crepes or creme brulee. To indulge in a little piece of France, book a table and head on over to Sydney’s Bistro De Philippe.
The food and service was pleasant overall, however we were seated outdoor on a hot day when there is plenty of tables available indoor, and had to pay cash
Food and atmosphere are delightful . Just like a jaunt to France without the flight or the cost . Friendly happy staff and great classic French fare
