More about Black Cod, Docklands

Melbourne’s freshest and coolest fish restaurant, Black Cod in the Docklands area is proving that fast food can be delicious and healthy at the same time. Black Cod’s owners come from a long line of fishermen, and with many family member still on the business, it means that freshest fish is readily available to the restaurant. Firmly believing that food doesn’t need to be overcomplicated, Black Cod’s menu is refreshingly simple, offering quality fish and seafood cooked to perfection, from flake, salmon and barramundi to calamari, scallops and prawn, as well as a range of burgers. We recommend trying the soft shell crab burger with slaw, cori and sweet chilli mayo, or the souvlaki chicken or lamb, a nod to the owner’s Greek heritage.

Whether you’re a seafood fanatic, meat lover or vegetarian, you’ll find plenty of choices. The perfect place for a casual bite to eat with friends, Black Cod is found on Bourke Street, and it's beautiful Victoria Harbour location couldn’t be more apt. Great value for money meals and very accommodating to dietary requirements, we usually order the Fish pack with veggie patties instead of the fish and you can have salad and rice to make it a very healthy and tasty meal! Only downside is that they only have dinner on Friday nights so pretty busy due to Friday night drinks, would be good if there was a separate line to order food! The owner is very friendly and the food tasty so we keep coming back for more.

Very good food, decent enough service, good atmosphere, great location. Had the steak sandwich, was a good blend of sweet, sour and salty, think they used some kind of chutney?
