A household name among Sydney food lovers for over 25 years now, Caffe Roma on Kellett Street serves legendary Italian food to the city’s elite. Frequented by celebrities, politicians, and other bigwigs, the iconic restaurant finds itself in a posh region of Potts Point, not far from Kings Cross, surrounded by beautiful houses and gorgeous natural flora. Open for dine-in and delivery seven days a week, Caffe Roma invites locals to experience what has earned the restaurant its exceptional reputation.
A huge draw for both tourists and locals alike, Caffe Roma in Potts Point is one of Sydney’s very best restaurants, leading the charge both locally and internationally in the realm of Italian cuisine. Since its opening in the 1980s, the restaurant has seen its fair share of celebrities passing in and out of its doors. While the restaurant is certainly the go-to Italian restaurant for the city’s elite, the restaurant is open for common folk, too, and even offers takeaway and delivery for lazy days spent at home.
Just moments away from Kings Cross, Caffe Roma makes authentic, traditional Italian cuisine accessible to the masses from its location on beautiful Kellett Street in Potts Point. Decide between the restaurant’s excellent pizzas like pizza tonno cipolla and pizza campagnola, or order one of the restaurant’s signature homemade pasta dishes – think handmade gnocchi riviera, ravioli al manzo and tortellini alla panna. These classics, among many, many others are available on the restaurant’s huge menu, but because of its legendary status, we highly recommend a making a reservation.
Amazing food and good service, excellent place for late dinners great drinks and food selection, unbelievable atmosphere... always a joy to late dine at cafe roma
Great service, delicious food and a cosy ambience. I have been going to the restaurant each time I am in Sydney! I will definitely recommend to heaps of friends.
A very simple system to use. Much better than their last booking system. Will be using it again for our next booking. Will recommend to everyone and will download the app.
Good experience overall.. The service could be better but the food was very good. Price is reasonable about 100 a couple with a bottle of wine.
The atmosphere in this restaurant is great. The best thing is the service. it was pouring rain when my friend came in "drenched". Our waiter produced a blanket for her to put round her shoulders while she dried off and warmed up, did not mind her being so wet the cushions on the seats would have become wet. We ate beautiful fish, after the most tender calamari for entrée! The room is quiet enough to talk, as we had an 86 year old with us! so it was perfect. The dark colours on the walls and the tasteful way this terrace has been renovated made for such a lovely evening.
Food was really good as always however the wait staff were a little slow at times which was annoying. Gnocchi in the white Gorgonzola sauce was cracker !
Nice setting, food was good enough, staff were quite attentive. The sun dried olives were a particular favourite! Was lacking a little in in atmosphere
The worse experience ever had!! I left the restaurant even before order food because the waiter(manager) was so rude with us. Really bad and disappointed
