Very pleasant meal. Service was great and meals perfectly cooked.

The good: opens at 5pm where all other dinner joints open later at 6pm (on Sundays) Friendly front staff and waitress Car parks available Food was overpriced - vegetarian burger cost me $26 with chips and onion rings. Yes it was huge, but quality over quantity in this case, onion rings were soggy, the tomatoes and cucumbers looked sad and patty was dry. My boyfriend’s steak was overlooked, the mashed potatoes were lumpy.

Ordered house dips and bread fro started. It was just plonked down in front of us not telling us what the the dips were. They tasted ok. For mains my husband had a burger which he saw as ok nothing to go out of his way for whereas I had pulled pork which seemed over cooked and sweet. Then it was placed ontop of some potatoes which was soggy

Have been there stacks of times. Always leave very satisfied. Portions are huge and food is great. Good value for money. Highly recommend.

Was happy with everything The restruant was very busy with tables of 10 plus but we were still looked after in prompt time

staff were friendly, food was nice. Good priced for good portion. Would be good to have more variety of prawn dish on the menu rather than just a prawn salad.

Our table of 10 inc 3 children plus a 2yr old and a 12 month old probably accounted for a noisier venue that night and we were pretty talkative catching up with one another for the first time in 18 months!!! Hope the other patrons weren't too put out.

Fabulous host, food was sensational and the sticky date pudding was the best I have ever had. My favourite place to dine in McLaren Vale.

My partner ordered the ribs and enjoyed his meal. However, I ordered the beef schnitzel and did not. It was more crumbing than anything else. It was a really average schnitzel and it was very expensive! I also had to pay an extra $4 for gravy, so my schnitzel ended up costing over $30! Extremely overpriced for an average to below average meal. Was very disappointed. I was just glad I didn’t walk into the restaurant starving. The service and staff were very friendly.

Service was friendly and attention great! There were four of us and three thought the food was good.

Was good - so few diners surprised us - food was very tasty, and well prepared - bit too many potatoes tho'.

Food cold, salad looked like it had been made hours before serving it. Cobwebs in the restrooms, menus stained and dirty. No atmosphere ( felt like i was eating in a cafeteria). Its only saving grace was the waitressing staff. Not sure if the restaurant has been taken over because its nothing like it use to be.

Best ribs ever! Great atmosphere and a nice quiet town feel to the place. The fried ice cream is a must have. Lovely gem of a place

Wonderful food, generous servings and great friendly service in a relaxed environment. A bit noisy though, it might just be from the acoustics of the restaurant.

Lovely food served by attentive staff. Shame so quiet by 9pm but put that down to early spring. Same menu as before does not disappoint.

In McLarenvale Good Location, with parking nearby. Excellent food choices. Service really good. Wine by the glass limited. A great place to have a nice meal food prices upper average but worth it

Great food all round, especially the kids chicken nuggets, probably the best we’ve tasted. Highly recommended the dukkah crusted salmon and the American pork ribs. Good all round service from the moment we arrived to the time we left.

Nice, pleasant experience. Staff are very friendly. Little disappointed with our steaks as did t come out cooked as asked, but still enjoyed our night.

Carmel’s is always DELICIOUS! I always get the pulled pork dish, and hubby always gets the steak with the rib rack sauce. You won’t regret 👌🏼

Food was excellent, but they did take a long time to bring the food out when we were one of the only on a there that begin with. They also brought out my 2 year old food last (instead before every body else's). Table service could be improved by checking if we were ready to order earlier, and checking if we wanted more drinks more frequently (we had to shut down a waitress at least 2 or 3 times)

Entree dips were nice. Lamb main was very tasty and the scotch fillet was cooked perfect medium rare. Only issue was slow service but it was a busy night lots of large groups so it's understandable.

Amazing service and beautiful scotch fillet steak. Went on a Wednesday night and it was not too busy so the atmosphere was very nice as well.

Very friendly staff although they needed to check on drinks more often if they are going to offer table service. We would have drank a lot more if we were offered.
