We thought the presentation seemed more important than the food. eg my abalone was a tiny serve of just the abalone and seaweed and the abalone was tough. The steak dish and the small plate salmon were the hits. Can we suggest that more on the plate and less ""finesse" would be our preference. Potential but...

Absolutely love the food at Cattleya. Must say a little disappointed in the change of menu. We love to share all the meals and prefer the old menu. The Cauliflower was just Devine. (Keep This) The waiting staff are all lovely but service for beverages is way too slow. It takes over 45mins to get a cocktail on arrival. Last time it took 1 hour.
Staff were welcoming and attentive. Lovely decor and plenty of space between tables. Meals were good quality in terms of ingredients and flavour. However, we wanted share plates and meals like the steak and the cauliflower were plated as for an individual meal. Likewise, the beautiful chicken curry was served as a leg and thigh in one piece. Staff thoughtfully provided a carving knife and fork, but it would be easier if the chicken was boned before serving. With the booking app, it would be good to receive a message to say that the final booking confirmation had been received.
Food was lovely and great service, very nice raspberry mojitos too!
