The pizza was lovely, however they seated us in a row with two other tables and there was only one entry/exit point for all three tables, which was right behind my seat! Each time someone from all of the three tables (approx 18 people) wanted to purchase drinks/order food/use the bathroom etc they had to squeeze behind me, while I tucked my chair in. When all of the food arrived the waiters had to do the same thing, and also to collect the plates. It made for a very uncomfortable dining experience.

Good food, but we’re disappointed with kids meal options - main options were available; but they have taken away kids drinks & dessert options; which means adult serves & prices and less value.

Great food! reasonably priced food and drinks, amazing staff. Booked for a table of 20 of a Sunday afternoon and was so pleased with the experience would highly recommend.

Food ordering was terrible at it's best. People queued out the door because drinks were ordered at the food counter, everybody was complaining. We were a table of 6 but those who ordered before us got their food last. Bad restaurant management ....

Food was average. Pasta was a let down and the salmon which was quite expensive was very small. Great atmosphere and the staff were great!

Great food staff were very friendly and accomodating excellent location really enjoyed our dinner will definitely come back when in the area and will tell our friends!!

You need to change the specials board to what people want. EG. Have a look at the Gunyah Hotel at Belmont. They change there specials board all the time. You need to have fresh fish on the menu not battered most of the time. I love coming to Caves as I live 5 minutes away but the menu is a concern.

Great meal though the poke bowl was a little small considering the price. My husbands rare steak was cooked perfectly. Lovely ambiance and location. Staff are friendly.

Was a little worried as Sunday lunch was crazy busy but food came out fast. Awesome atmosphere. Brilliant view. Gelato cart an awesome addition. Will definitely be back

Lines at peak times are quite long for both food and drinks. Service was a bit hodge podge with mains being served before a starter, and kids meals being served last after a few minutes delay ( a big no non). Food was okay but not as great as the prices would suggest. Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a great range.

Everything was good. Some of the orders arrived a bit later than expected though but I understand given the huge number of customers at the time.

The food was nice, the service was quick. Drink queue was inefficient but friendly. Bistro was clean. Prices were reasonable. Kids menu was good. Pizzas were tasty.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. Great place for a family function. Order and pay for meals at the bar and they’re brought to your table. I had the full rack of ribs which was huge and a great feed.

Very pleasurable experience in a beautiful setting. Great service and a good choice of meals. Excellent venue for families with young children. Would highly recommend.

Great friendly atmosphere with good service and an abundance of space. Some of our group of 10 were late so our time allocation for the table was sorted without drama by the intuitive staff.

Most relaxing dining experience I have ever enjoyed. Friendly staff, afforadle menu. As we were staying in the Caves accommodation it was a convenient location.

The decore and ambience of the restaurant is what makes the dining experience enjoyable. High ceilings, live music on Sunday and the open air view to the ocean. The food is ok for pub food and consistent with the price. Wine was good. I was disappointed with my grain fed steak because I was comparing it with others I've had elsewhere. However, the fish and pizza meals at our table were fine. Oysters were exceptionally good. I would certainly visit again as the place has a relaxed vibe.

Great food and drink, plus fantastic service. Really nice venue with indoor and outdoor space. The prices are reasonable, plenty of parking. Would definitely go again when in town.

Caves Coastal Bar is a lovely place to meet friends for a great meal. Its location is lovely close to the beach. We both had the Chicken burger and fries and food was hot and very tasty. Great chips. Albeit $20 each but we enjoyed it and were happy to pay for good food. WE sat inside as the day was a bit windy. You can sit out on the balcony however the seagulls are a bit of a nuisance. This was our 3rd visit and overall, we will definitely go back there.

Awesome food, drinks, venue and staff! Can’t seem to stay away. Look forward to spending time here during summer, it is such a perfect location.

It was crazy busy when we arrived and the staff did a wonderful job of catering to all. Great location and venue. The food was a bit average, however, given the price. Thought a $20 hamburger would be better! Kids enjoyed the play area. Maybe it was just an off night for food, so will definitely give it another go.

In my opinion and alot of others you should have a separate point of sale register for ordering of meals and not mixed as this shows down drink service.

Dirty cups, lime sticker in mojito, sashimi arrived 10 mins after hot mains but good barramundi, salmon. Tried to take away plates before we finished.

Great vibe here and love the beer garden. The food and service amazing. I love my local. Nothing beats a sunny day here, lunch and good beer.

Nice place. Friendly helpful staff, large meals at reasonable prices, warming and welcoming even on a cold winter day. Will go back in summer to enjoy the outdoor area overlooking the beach.

The service staff were great, however the beer was overpriced. Our main meals were of average standard but not exceptional. Arancini balls for entree were outstanding though!

The setting is fabulous, great ocean views. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated but obviously housekeeping do not dust around all the art pieces or flat surfaces. We didn't linger as two of our party were asthmatics and dust is their enemy. We found the food to be OK but nothing spectacular. Wont rush back.

entree did not come out first before mains some staff could not find tables as the numbering system was random we had to clear table ourself of plates.food was ok but gravy was cold and you dont have dianne sauce anymore.ran out of coffee.

With such s large table we were not offered to be seated inside just sat outside on a cold day with no heating offered and very hard to get service and plates were left and not cleared and not a lot on the menu

First visit after renovations and pleasantly surprised by décor, think it is excellent. Little disappointed about the lack of GF (gluten free) selections. Being an older patron not in favour of sitting on a pouffe/cushion but plenty of other seating available. Will come again. The ambience is 100% and the food is also excellent so much better than previously.

Our party of 16 was given two separate tables in a function room rather than the restaurant without being consulted prior. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

No one was able to find our reserved table for us. The pizza came out about 30 minutes before the other meals. The food was great tho.

Overall, the food was fine. I'd like to see some healthier meal options although the pizzas looked really good; the kids meals were very generous.

Great atmosphere and service, I would definitely recommend going back. The pizzas we great, bases were made fresh we was the best part. Great night as a whole.

It was great thanks. Food was beautiful. Very happy and we will be back. Meals were big sizes too. Food came out fast too, we didn’t have to wait long at all.
