It was very funky. Had a HUGE wine menu and loads of cocktails. The food was different to what you find on most Thai menus. We had the ox tail salad, which was a first and it was a taste sensation.

Went with group of 7 @6pm on Sunday night. The music was far too loud for that time of night. Could not hold a conversation. However staff reduced the noise on request. Food was fabulous especially lamb,soft shell crab and lotus salad. Our waitress very helpful in guiding our choices. Wonderful wine list. Jenny

Great food with a variety of flavors - Pad Thai and Snapper with green papaya-followed by an amazing dessert of coconut, papaya and red beans. A nice Friday night ambiance.

Service was great; food was very disappointing- over cooked, tough, and one salad was so unexpectedly hot, it hurt my mouth. And the espresso martini was watery

The food was great but not amazing, the service was good. The dining area has a nice lively atmosphere but can be kind of loud, so keep that in mind if you want a nice quiet dinner.

Booked a table for two at 8, was only seated at 8:40. Whilst waiting I was told to stay at the bar, where there was no seats and it was almost impossible to get the attention of staff. Staff were completely unapologetic when we were finally seated.

We really enjoyed our visit to Cookie. Despite a mix up (my fault) with us arriving more than an hour early the staff found us a table within 30 minutes on a busy night. We love the spicy food and the great selection of local and imported beers

Excellent service and the food was top notch. Recommend it for lunch, but book early for dinner as it gets very busy in the evenings.

The food and atmosphere are good. Service was a bit hit and miss but good overall. The food is nice but I can get just as good at my local Thai for half the price. Cookie and Red Spice Road are very similar, from my experience.

I have been to cookie on numerous occasions and loved it. But this time it was not meant to be and ruined by really really poor service. All the wait staff chose to ignore our table for majority of the lunch, we had to keep going up to the counter and asking for things including the drinks list and the bill. It wasn't even a busy lunch service. Won't be rushing back anytime soon, will be taking cookie off my top places to go.

Great venue, attentive service, great meal. We had the Colonial Pale Ale and were very happy with it. My only criticism is that it's Just a bit too noisy. But of course that's because it's so popular for a Friday lunch!

Visited for a Sunday lunch. Seriously good Asian inspired food. The baked scallops were a stand out. There is a reason this has become a Melbourne institution.

Great service, great food. It's bit quieter during the day so we could hear each other talk. Food arrived quickly so we didn't have to rush in our 2 hour booking time.

Fantastic, service was great, food was great and atmosphere was great!!! We got the Beetle leafs, duck salad and beef ribs and all meals were full of flavor and complemented each other well.. The host was fantastic too we asked for a fruity wine and she came back with two options and her selection skills were awesome .. The wine was fab!

Most amazing food adventure! We had a few dishes but the ones that stood out were the drunken noodles and the tiramsu, you must get the tiramsu...best ever...better than the many I had in Italy.

Wonderful food, and kind friendly service. It was very busy for a Monday night which meant that we were slow to be served, particularly with drinks to begin with. It was also quite loud but I guess that's part of the atmosphere. Overall a pleasant evening though; we would go back again.

Great good. Albeit a little loud, there was a gaggle of women next to us that cackled like witcheea but the venue cannot choose their patrons. They had never come across redeeming points via Quandoo but they gave us $15 off the bill anyway.

AmaZing food! Easy to book and great atmosphere right in the middle of the city. I go here regularly and is one of the few places is easy to get a table.

Cookie has it all. There is a rooftop bar for before you beat and a dance floor for after. The service and the food never disappoint and I always go back!

Would be better if the menu stated which curries were really spicy as we ordered the duck curry and didn't realise it was extremely hot, the waiter should have let us know as we could not eat it all

It took them a few minutes to get our table ready, and they were a bit confused about our Banquet menu pre-order at first, but once we sorted it out everything ran smoothly. Food came out insanely fast and was absolutely delicious (and very generous portions as well)

The service was great, the pork belly was as good as ever. the atmosphere was lovely and busy. Only thing that prevents a 6 was the drinks too a long time from the bar.

Food was beautiful but music so loud was impossible to have a comfortable conversation. We asked to turn down which they did a tiny fraction but then it was turned up again before we left. Also, service not fabulous - waited a long time for drinks and to order. No water offered on arrival and we had to ask 3 times before it came.

The food was very nice I will probably come back but a bit expensive. So maybe when I get paid is when I'll come back

Excellent. Cookie is underrated and is a Melbourne gem. Outstanding, extensive beverage menu, and deep and rich food menu. Something for everyone, plenty of spice, solid service. It's a must.

Really delicious. Beef ribs were tender, but fairly expensive (only 2 per serve). Green curry was amazing. Same with the rotti bread. Go in a big group !
