Great food, good service, a little tight in seating but great otherwise, good menu nice to get a free glass of champagne for mother’s day!!!

My only complaint was the noise factor. You need to put carpet on the floor. For a table of 6, being old with impaired hearing, it was impossible to hear what the people at the other end of the table were saying.

Fantastic. Service great and meal sizes very generous!! The staff members were appropriately attentive and prompt. Nothing was a trouble. Even attended to the blinds when the sun was blazing in the window!!

Breakfast, coffee and service great. Nice atmosphere, did get a little loud when busy though. Kids half size serves great idea and prevents waste. Will visit again when in Tassie

Currency Café has a great "smart casual" atmosphere in a lovely location. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and the food was inexpensive and delicious. Our party of 4 all had something different and we were all extremely happy with our meals. The meals were served in a timely manner as well. Excellent experience overall!

This is a favorite restaurant of ours as the food is always good and the service friendly.

Such great value meals available - why do more people not go?! We have Entertainment Book but chose to go to Currency instead - much better value.

My friend and I had lunch to celebrate a birthday. We found the meals very attractive and plentiful in quantity. Service was attentive and pleasant. Shall return for a breakfast meal.

We only had hot drinks, but as usual the service was great, and that was impressive because it was the waitresses first shift. Well done

Excellent quality and value for money. The trevalla was perfectly cooked and the portion sizes were generous. Even though it was very busy we had great service as they had plenty of competent staff on hand.

All four of us enjoyed the lunch at Currency. Very happy with our selection of dishes and excellent service. Great setting. Appreciated being able to sit outside on a pleasant afternoon. Highly recommended.

The fish and chips were beautiful but needed a bit of salad. May have been forgotten as my friend had salad with her schnitzel. Service good. Atmosphere good. Will go again.

Currency Cafe is a small café serving breakfast to lunch and mid afternoon tea. The day we visited was fine and sunny so we sat outdoors. We ordered fish and chips with a glass of bubbles and followed with a coffee. Everything was as expected, not outstanding and service was good. Happy to visit again.

Enjoyed lunch with friends last Friday at Currency. Service excellent as always, especially as we asked to be relocated to an outside table to enjoy the spring weather. Herb crumbed flathead fillets were delicious. Attentive staff during the meal. Minimum waiting. Great coffee to finish. Good vibes.

we had a Lovely lunch. The meal was not expensive and the serves are quite large. Great atmosphere and staff and really friendly. Prams were welcome also

Good service. Heating a little lacking close to the windows (3 C outside). My eye fillet was tough and sinewy for this cut of meat even though cooked perfectly (medium rare).

This restaurant is a little gem on the eastern shore. Always a very friendly welcome from staff. Great value and delicious food. Service is always quick.

Service, atmosphere and food all fantastic. Breakfast prices have become too expensive $26 for a big breakfast is about $6 too much on average around Hobart

drinks took ages to come and then was told they had run out of glasses, the side of veg with the steak wasn't as per menu but did receive a complimentary wine and apology - normally eat there at breakfast or lunch but dinner wasn't my favourite

Excellent food, friendly service and knowledgeable staff. It was a very cold evening and the restaurant was kept beautifully warm. Great value, must leave room for dessert next time.

Visited for a Saturday morning brunch, food was very good, service excellent and a lovely relaxing way to star the morning. Would recommend plenty of space and a nice outside area.

Such a great location. Wonderful that we could reserve a table. Discreet helpful staff and all service very efficient and prompt. Food was very good. Probably a wee bit expensive for just two poached eggs @ $14. But will certainly return and recommend

Great little place, lovely location, a tad noisy but that's only because it is so popular and always busy! Service is great as is the food. I have been there 3 times now and will be back again for sure! They do the best fat chips!

Organised family breakfast evening before. Used website to see menu, decided and was able to book online with confirmation email. Greeted on arrival and had great breakfast . Good atmosphere in former bank.
