Very pleasant, thank you. Lovely place to spend the morning.
It is so relaxed at East Coast Lounge in a beautiful spot. Enjoyed a long lunch with friends to celebrate a birthday and our friendship. Couldn’t think of a better spot to share platters and bubbles followed by delicious sweet morsels. Snuck in a bit of homeware retail therapy too!
Beautiful place to chill out Nice food, view and staff
Great venue, great food and wonderful service. 5 stars, I'll be back.
I visited her with a girlfriend and we had booked a window seat with a harbour view. We were welcomed very warmly and shown to our harbour view table and asked if this was satisfactory. The young waiter was very attentative and brought us a bottle of water to drink whilst going through the menu. There was a good selection of food and we both choose the smash avo on sour dough. The avo serve was very generous and was nicely displayed with the feta on the top. We ordered a glass of NZ Mt Cotton Mumm sparkling wine which was served in a clean champagne glass and at the right temperature. We then sat by the open fire place to have another glass of sparkling wine. All and in all it was a very pleasant experience and one which I would do again without hesitation It was also lovely to browse through the display of items available for sale. The design of the restaurant was excellent and if I owned a beach house I would design the living room like this! When are you going to open another one?
I was excited to bring friends to this venue having been there with my husband in the past, who had sadly passed away last year. It is unfortunate that the menu does not have a choice for customers who enjoy a hearty meal. May I suggest in winter there should be a hearty soup available with a crunchy slice of bread. For those who enjoy something sweet with their tea or coffee again lacking in a selection. I'm sure the chef could bake a yummy cake available by the slice with maybe a scoop of ice cream or cream for those who aren't lactose intolerant. Again a basic salad for those who cannot tolerate seeds & beans & the like. We ordered 2 bottles of wine at an over rated price. The young waiter opened the red & placed between 2 of my friends, then returned with the white & placed it unopened in an ice bucket between myself & another female friend. I presumed he would return to open same, but this did not happen. I know noise is unavoidable with wooden floors, but it always perplexes me when the staff have the music if their choice up loud when clearly the clientel are seniors & would prefer soft relaxing music playing in the background so they could at least hear each other in conversation. I also feel the prices are too high for the menu supplied. Trendy to meet there tho. The position of the Venue is delightful, shame that only a few have water view glimpses.
Love East Coast Lounge. What an awesome location and absolutely stunning harbor views. The cafe' is beautifully decorated and fits perfectly with the historic properties surrounding this location. A short walk to Clifton Gardens sandy beach and pier add something even more to this cafe.
East Coast Lounge is in a beautiful location. Its delightful interior is thoughtfully decorated and very welcoming. The menu is well-thought out, offering a variety of fresh produce. The service, while relaxed and friendly, is excellent.
An absolutely beautiful place. The setting, food and service were all absolutely lovely. I would highly recommend East Coast Lounge for special occasions, or just for an every day treat!
Had lunch at East Coast Lounge yesterday. It is such a great place to visit and easy to park. Delicious food, lovely setting and capable, friendly staff!
