Ferdinand Northcote is named after King Ferdinand, the King of Naples himself, who used to sneak out of the palace at night to gorge on authentic Neapolitan pizza. So, it should come as no surprise that Ferdinand on High Street serves up some of the best Italian wood fired pizza in Melbourne and beyond. The menu is a simple but enticing one, with lots of pizza options (including ample vegan choices) alongside some delectable appetizers, as well as some seafood and pasta dishes. Advance booking is recommended, so make sure you reserve a table ahead of time to ensure you can get your hands on that sweet, sweet pizza.

Always a great dining experience at Ferdinand. The porcini gourmet pizza is to die for; the limoncello martinis are a nice citrus touch; and you can't go past their rich and creamy tiramisu!
Always a great experience dining at Ferdinand. Was a last minute booking and they fit me in with less than an hour's notice as I dragged my friend from the other side of town over to Northcote to experience the best pizza this side of the Yarra has to offer. Siandor, Francesco and the team are always a delight 🙂
Nice food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. We weren’t pressured to leave after a certain time which I loved.
